"We used to stay here once a year for a swim competition. This used to be a nice place but in the last couple of years it just really gone down hill. You book a room for 4 people but they do not have enough mental capacity to provide nesessary towels, blankets and sheets ahead of time. So you ask them at the reception and they say it should be in the room and of not come get it because they cant be bothered to bring it. So you go up 6 floors because guess what, the elevators do not work. The room smells moldy, not as clean as it used to be. Obviosely the things you asked for are not there.. the light in the bathroom mirror does not work so they put a side lamp in there (fire hazard much?) And good luck taking a shower in the dim light let alone do anything else that requires a light.. I can go on and on."
"I was so disappointed in my recent stay, I stayed here before and the rooms/service were good. This time, the hotel gave me motel vibes, the furniture needs to be updated as there were missing doors, chipped and stained furniture. Elevator was broken. I couldn't even sleep well couldn't wait to check out. It's a beautiful space, they really need to invest and update it."
"This place is pretty bad! 2 years in a row very dirty. This year after sleeping here for the night my son discovered a pile of dried up vomit between the bed and nightstand and down the side of the bed. The tub fills up with water as you shower and takes forever to drain. Only 2 towels provided for the room and no linen for the pull out sofa. When we called the front desk they said they are limited on linen and will only be able to provide 1 blanket and 2 extra towels. I was very cold and asked for an additional blanket and was told they could not provide extra. The front desk was not customer friendly and didn’t care. We actually went out and bought a blanket! I am not a picky person and do not have high standards for hotels. But, the room should be clean, have a nice shower and have a comfortable bed. This hotel has none of that."
"My experience was great until I checked out. I noticed that the hotel double charged me for one day and I also never received my incidental refund of $100. They owed me a total of $370.66 and gave me the run around blaming my bank. I called my bank and 5 days later still NOTHING was sent to them. I felt disrespected because they did NOTHING to make up for their mistake and were slightly dismissive. I asked for a voucher, because the incident was a mistake on THEIR part and it would have behooved them to offer SOME accommodation. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms clean but the hot tub did not work."
"The Embassy Suites was overall a good experience. The positives, the happy hour u Is fabulous, the Continental breakfast, the best I've ever seen. The kitchen staff was very friendly. The room was clean. However, as it's a suite, it should have an extra blanket in the room for the pull out. If it's part of the room, people shouldn't have to hunt down a blanket. The cons, the pool, is extremely steamy, and the hotel was not on. That room could benefit tremendously by having retractable, so fresh air can come in. The room wasn't ready at check-in time, which is another thing, 2 and half hours of waiting in the lobby after driving 9 hours. People don't like that. They're tired, they need to decompress, they feel weird just sitting there, we watched numerous people check in while we were waiting. And that also create a problem in some instances. You can do better. And you should strive to do so, as there are literally 2 hotels next door. So what makes Embassy suites the place to go? Other than it's proximity to UD? This is what I have a college degree in. Pretty good, but I want to say great, outstanding."
