"DON'T RENT HERE! THEY SCAM YOU WHEN YOU COME TO VIEW THE APARTMENT! Lindsay turns on the track lighting to make the apartment look bright and well lit, in reality the apartment is very dark and depressing , you have to turn on the lights no matter what room or time of day. Children are nit well behaved and really need a play ground. They coated the bathtub with this laminate that cracked and fell apart. I lived here ten months they would not let me out of my lease early, Castlegate let's you opt out early for 1 months rent. The kitchen cabinets and drawers are so old and stained I didn't use them and kept my dishes and food in plastic tubs. They have one central laundry room by the office, not all apartments have washing machine hookups and they charge 45$ a month to rent one. My apartment was not clean when I moved in I cleaned my apartment a lot better when I moved out , even shampooed the carpets , they charged me a 200$ to supposedly clean the apartment , so don't bother cleaning. They told me not to pay the last utility bill which ran 31.91 so they could charge me 68$ Which they deduct from your deposit. They are THEIVES AND SCAMMERS!"

"Lived here for a year, always greeted with notes on my front door warning me of “inspections” that needed to be done always short notice and so frequent that it was hard to feel like I had a sense of privacy. One time I even walked to my door after a hard nights work to find an eviction notice. Called the office the next morning and they had accidentally put the notice on the wrong door. Grounds maintenance is always kept up, nice neighbors, but I will warn pet owners that if you decide to move they will almost always charge you for a full carpet replacement. I took photos when I left, and left the entire apartment in better condition then when I moved in and was still charged $1500 for carpet and cleaning costs and never was issued back my deposit. Overpriced and dishonest. Move elsewhere if you can."

"Bottom line: THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!! After thoroughly cleaning my apt and a final walk through with the office staff, where I was told there is nothing left to clean, they still kept about $180 of my deposit for cleaning. (and misc charges??) After escalating past the office, to the management company, they weren't giving my deposit, back regardless of the many pictures I provided. Grounds and maint I give 5stars, but it's a little Gestopo(ish) with the rules and commands they leave on your door. The struggle is real, believe the reviews."

"I want to start off this review by saying before I decided to move into Palmetto Club Apartments, I did make sure to run a quick scan of the online reviews to at least give myself a ball park of what I was (at the time) going to be moving into. A -vast- majority of them were extremely similar with a few exceptions of "the sky is falling" sort of complaints that almost any given place will receive. That being said.. I took the extreme ones with a grain of salt as well as (ignorantly as hind sight has come show me) the ones that all matched up similarly. They all point to an extreme displeasure with the head front office woman (Her name is very easily found from other reviews). All said reviews of this person have in fact come to fruition to be all truthful, if not understated, reviews indeed. As a man of morals & respect, I moved into this place not wanting to step on any toes what so ever and trying to make a solid impression with the front office staff that I would end up be dealing with for the extent of my lease. (1 year and 1 year ONLY) From week one, said head office woman, immediately sent me a threatening phone call for a complaint that was received that ended not only having absolutely nothing irradiating from my apartment, but from the opposite side of the building's apartment. To her lack of concern of whom was creating the issue, she proceeded to be extremely rude and threatening. Another fun occasion is was when they decide to give lack of notice (or care) for the people that come home late in the night to a parking lot being completely repainted (not renovated like posted) to being forced to move to a parking lot that's notorious of cars being broken into (The old Woody's pizza/Ignite parking lot). After biting my lip and convincing myself that this would be just a one time lease, I ensured to clean my apartment from top to bottom (pictures posted) to make sure I could at least maybe scrape back some of my deposit (another common issue posted in reviews). Let me start off by saying, if you choose to move into this place, your entrance to the apartment is indeed carpeted with a door that runs flush to the ground giving zero height for a rug to be placed to prevent any damages to said carpet area. We live in Colorado and the entrance to the apartment is from the outside, setting up your tenants to fail with a poorly designed entrance is not only shy of a scam, but just immoral all together. BECAUSE of this, I was charged for a full carpet change of over $800+. As I stated prior and shown, I posted pictures of my exit cleaning and was STILL charged an extra $100 for an "Apartment cleaning". When called to be asked for a return address, the head front office woman was oddly (FOR THE FIRST TIME) kind and polite on the phone call with me. Which in turn then got me hopeful and thinking I was going to actually get some sort of return on my deposit; which in fact she was simply calling to send me the outrageous bill. She's as nasty of a woman as been stated in previous reviews and advertised.. proceed with caution. This apartment complex and any business attached to it IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I was unfortunately in a pinch and needed a place and settled... don't be me and end up kicking yourself at the end of a terrible stay. If you choose to move past this review and commit to that place.. I can only say to you, "I tried..". So! That being said, I'm paying my bill (the same day I got this ridiculous charge) just so I could make sure I have ZERO attachment to this apartment complex or horrendous front office. The ONE, and I mean only ONE, good thing that this complex brings is a stand-up crew of maintenance that was always polite and working hard. Other than that... Move on and find the something down the road if the location is what's selling you."
