"Was not really a fan of this motel. Would of been nice to have a microwave and refrigerator for guests use not the motels use to sell there drinks. Front desk staff were very friendly & informative. Bar and Restaurant staff were not the friendliest!! Coffee for the guests didn't stay supplied, creamer empty. Hot water in shower took a long time to get hot. Open parking lot was difficult for pickup trucks to park and get in and out of. Was a very clean motel though."
"What an awesome hotel! Felt like we had walked into one of the beautiful old hotels in London or New York. The lobby is both elegant and welcoming. We loved having cocktails by the fireplace next to the Christmas tree. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I travel to Des Moines several times a year - can’t imagine staying anywhere else!"
"Beautiful hotel. Loved the comfortable and attractive furniture in the lobby. The high ceilings and large windows made our room feel larger. The fitness center had plenty of equipment. Perfect location for everything downtown and a short walk to East Village. Only place I’d stay if I visited Iowa again."
"I stayed at the Surety for a photography conference also held at the hotel and couldn't be happier with my experience. Upon check in the staff was friendly and approachable. After chatting a bit they upgraded my room because "they liked my energy", what a sweet surprise! The unique and aesthetically pleasing interiors were a breath of fresh air and the room felt so luxurious. Not only that but it was very clean and the bed was super comfy. I also worked with the event staff at the Surety for the conference and they were accommodating, fast and friendly as well. Can't wait to come back!"
