Motel 6 Des Moines, IA - North

"This place was a complete joke. We checked in and immediately saw a gigantic roach. Room wasn't cleaned well. Microwave had gross stuff down the side. I pulled bedding off bed to find dead roaches in the bedding. I immediately started taking pics of everything that was wrong. A lamp didn't work so I looked at the light bulb and to my surprise there were 2 CRACK PIPES stuffed in2 the lamp shade!!! The people next door apparently live there but the traffic that went thru there in the few hrs I was there made me question what was going on. I left and demanded a refund. This place doesn't deserve a star. Parking lot has quite a few cars that have flat tires. Motel is totally sketchy!!!"

"The rooms are pricey for a motel that rarely gives you a microwave or mini fridge. Joint room is horrible. Could hear almost every unpleasant thing. A disturbing person stayed not the far from me disrupting the peace. Just an overall shady area and I don't feel safe. I wouldn't bring any children around here to stay. Some rooms have roaches so I've heard! There were no roaches in my room though! But the shower was dirty. The sheets had dust mites or something because I have sensitive skin so I feel everything. You can tell they haven't replaced these bed sheets in a very long time. The only positive was the receptionist was helpful."

"honestly you can see the dirt as clear as day, which annoys me and the smell is so unpleasant. I’m not even sure about the bed because i’m already noticing some smoke burns. The smell of the smoke in the room drove me insane, its gonna be a 1 for me. It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star if i could give it a 0 I WOULD. I never wanna come back here again i think i’d rather stay home than to come back for a 2nd trip for family visit again, i’m not even gonna start with the bathroom because i don’t DARE to enter it already from first look i can say that Arkansas hotels do better than this. This place is just upsetting, and the floor is nasty that i keep my shoes on at all cost also stuff here are so broken, do you ever think of renewing this whole entire place ?? And before you even reply to my review don’t say “We’ll fix the problem” because it’s obvious its not gonna be fixed."

"This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating for anything. The rooms are disgusting and filthy the room was filthy when we got there. Cockroaches everywhere. Stains on stands and beds. Shower was disgusting. Not to mention the Indian guy is rude, and should NOT be working in customer service. They need to be shut down. Health inspector needs to be called"

"We arrived for an event at 10pm, check in was quick and easy, that is where the positive ended, it was -3 outside and real feel of -22 and our door keys wouldn't work, we finally got into our room the floor was filthy, bed has stains and upon turning on the bathroom light cockroachs ran in every direction, I immediately grabbed my things and went downstairs for a refund, the from desk woman needs a raise, she granted my refund with no argument and apologized. Several windows were broken out of rooms from obvious break-ins. Unless your looking to get your car windows smashed I recommend finding somewhere else."
