"I am not used to a full concierge service hotel...it was great! The company my husband works for scheduled an employee appreciation meeting hosted at the downtown DesMoines Marriott. The location and staff were top notch and accommodating!"
"Water in the shower is ONLY warm. If you wish to take a hot shower, choose somewhere else. It’s hard for me to accept this place can’t even provide hot water for shower. It’s only warm enough but you would want to get out asap. Breakfast was mediocre. I would probably eat outside or even just a coffee shop somewhere else."
"The poor customer service is reflective of poor management. It is fine to have bartenders in their 60’s and 70’s, but when they attitudes that they would rather be somewhere else, it is amazing to think they were hired for this. A nearby Hilton puts this place to shame."
"The wife and I delved into our music and we drove aimlessly until we got to the next biggest town from kc. The further north from KCMO we got the closer we got to Des Moines. No other reason to drive other than the nice time with the wife and some good tunes. Once we got to the Marriott we were greeted by many great employees. The shuttle driver was just amazing. The valet staff were incredible and great gentleman. Over all the place was great giving you a feel of the big city In a small town. We would recommend this place over and over."
"We were in town for a wedding and most of the guests and wedding party stayed at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The bar is nice and the rooms are comfortable. Our view was fantastic. I will say that the virtual key option did not work for a few people in our group so we had to wait in line and get regular keys."
