"Avoid moving here! Regent 1 Apartments are located in a dangerous area. The units are not well-kept inside and the staff are rude/incompetent. There are termites in some of the apartments (they come out of light fixtures and bathroom vents) and a/c cooling issues that HUD, BHA, and Regent 1 refuse to fix! Alison Landrum, Joe Guilory, Jackie Sostand (whom had a disgusting attitude), Kay Brandon, Sandra Battles, and the current property manager Cynthia Dinkins showed no concern regarding the a/c cooling problem. Cynthia Dinkins thinks it's unacceptable to have a window AC unit, yet multiple tenants have complained about how hot it is (especially upstairs) in the apartments, but nothing has been done. HUD (whom I contacted) owns Regent 1 apartments and didn't care about issues I had with my unit, so I'm not surprised by the low quality management of the property."

"I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to reside at this property. First and Foremost, you must pay for all maintenance requests.... within your apartment. Yes, PAY meaning OUT of POCKET. Secondly, management doesn't seem to care about the riff raff, violence, crime, disrespectful neighbors, etc that goes on within the apartment community. Needless to say that Beaumont Police Department frequently passes through and near this area 5-6 times a day. Most of the tenants are unemployed, children are poorly raised, bad, etc. There is drug activity going on within the premises too. Sadly, the office is concerned about window blinds, maintenance fees, etc VERSUS the betterment of the property. Also the apartments are termite INFESTED. Meaning the termites are eating the walls...... eating their way into the unit. Sadly, my complaints and requests went unresolved. I regret moving into this complex. Noisy neighbors, filthy grounds, grass is unkept, parking lots aren't well lit, parking isn't assigned but some tenants will ARGUE with you over a parking space, maintenance workers do poor jobs, and they know of the termite infestation, bats within the premises too, I have YET to see any of this addressed in a timely manner. PLEASE do not MOVE to this property unless you care to deal with all of the aspects listed above. Front office receptionist has a VERY nasty attitude, never friendly, maybe she should find another job whereas she won't have to deal with civilians on a day to day basis. The managers have been switched so much, its hard to keep up with who is who . The only time I saw a manager was when they were posting late rent notices on tenants doors or asking about crimes that took place the day before. UTTERLY ridiculous, NOT the place to raise children. Save your $, patience, time and everything else.... If you are seeking poor maintenance, termites, rude office workers, daily crime/violence, etc MOVE HERE! Otherwise, you have been warned!"
