"First room had a half dead roach on the desk. He was in the process of dying! Halls smell of mold. Front desk very unfriendly. Marriott Corporate will be notified. Not up to their standards."
"The hotel was clean, quiet, and nice. However, the overall stay gets 5 stars thanks to sweet, Jesus that was working the front desk during my stay. Such a kind, sweet soul! Hope to see you again when I'm coming through Beaumont!"
"Apparently they’ve fixed the mold smell problem mentioned in earlier reviews, as we didn’t notice it during our 1-night stay in mid-November 2023. The hotel seemed clean, staff were excellent and helpful with extra requests (I needed to borrow their tape), and the hot breakfast was better than average for these types of hotels. Only drawback is the hotel’s immediate surroundings: It’s not an attractive neighborhood, and there were several people milling around in the area of the parking lot that seemed homeless. Nobody caused any trouble while we were there, but a staff member spontaneously volunteered that they’ve had to chase a few homeless people out of the hotel in the past."
"My husband came in to reserve the room. If I had walked in that front door before he had booked it we would have never stayed here! There is a moldy smell when u enter bldg. once we got to our room it was even worse!! Too late at night to try to move. Will never return to this location. I guess Marriott is like everything else, not what it used to be. My preference is Hilton and that’s where we will stay from now on."
"Our stay was nice. Clean and comfortable. Wish they would provide more towels, but if you ask, they'll be happy to give to you. Parking was good, well lit. This place is still under renovation."
