Vintage at 425 Broadway Apartments

"The amount of distress and frustration surrounding serious safety concerns are ongoing at this establishment. I was confronted by an unhoused individual this morning who refused to let me into my own building. After calling the police, this unhoused individual went and hid in the main elevator. After returning from walking my dog, I was abruptly and frighteningly confronted by this unhoused individual in the elevator. He was infuriated that I called the police. I ran away from this individual and once again called the police. The police subsequently came and had to extricate this unhoused individual from the elevator. The Santa Monica Police dept incident report # is (2024-14925). Management is aware of these ongoing safety concerns and yet nothing is being done. The amount of $$$$$$ paid for these apartments is absolutely not worth it. DONT DO IT. DONT be fooled by the slightly lower rent as compared to other properties in this area."

"An unhoused man was arrested today for breaking in, refusing to let residents securely close the front door behind them, and hiding out in the elevator. And this isn’t the first time. Management does nothing. Residents who have lived here since the 90s report the same lack of effort around safety. Every other building on 4th st between Broadway and Santa Monica has its own security officer. Residents have asked and management says to call the police. It’s not worth the money. It’s basically landlord neglect."

"The excellent service and or maintenance provided by both Javier and Sergio is truly top notch. They are always so quick to respond to any issue- whether it is just a light bulb for my patio or advocating on my behalf so that I may have a brand new washer/dryer (my old ones were not working well). This superior service is extremely difficult to find in downtown SM where the population is so transient. It is one of those factors many don't think about when considering a new home but definitely should be considered. In addition, the new front office manager (Elijah) has been a gift to this community. He has gone to great efforts to bolster security by changing key codes, locks (back door alley), and quickly responding to tenant needs."

The maintenance staff is always friendly, professional, and courteous. They are knowledgeable about all aspects of apartment maintenance and always take the time to explain what the issue is and how they plan to fix it. They go above and beyond to ensure that everything is in working order and that I am satisfied with the results. Not only are they prompt and efficient in their work, but they also take great care to ensure that they leave my apartment clean and tidy after completing their repairs. This attention to detail and respect for my living space is greatly appreciated.
