"I would give more stars if management wasn't so bad at responding to tenants in general. The kitchen sink wouldn't drain one day and no one came to fix it for 5 days. I called the third party company to put in the service request but they didn't make it a high priority request so maintenance didn't come right away. I called the third party line back but they said I'd have to contact the property manager to fix it. The third party line for maintenance requests was my least favorite part about living here other than the manager. The property manager didn't respond at the main office, his cell phone, or email the whole 5 days. I had to call the main office in San Francisco to get a response. Maintenance was then finally sent out but I didn't get an apology from the manager until a week after that. Maintenance was usually pretty awesome and super helpful though! There are 4 washers and dryers for the whole complex which are all dirty. Dryer lint catchers have crayons burned into them. One of the washers is usually broken or backed up with brown water. I was happy living here except for how lame the manager in particular was. He's responsive when getting you to sign a lease but wont give a sh*t about you after that. If you look at apartments above the car port don't buy the sales pitch that it's nice no one's under you. Cars are under you, so you'll hear everyone who talks down there or starts their loud car at 6am every morning. Read your lease!!! They will automatically charge you about $250 for carpet cleaning if you live there less than a year. $200 if they have to clean anything. ANYTHING. Like if you make the apartment spotless but leave dirt under the stove or refrigerator it's automatically a $200 charge. Positives are that it's centrally located in Marina with easy highway access and one assigned, free parking space. The apartments are pretty spacious. They allow pets and have two pet areas with dog bags (sometimes) and a big grass common area."
