Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Marina

"We had 2 rooms. 1 standard room and 1 suire. 1 room was good but the second one had mold. The chlorine smell in the indoor pool was so strong that my son had an asthma attack and my fiancé couldn't breath for hours. Staff seemed to brush it off because the levels in the water tested ok. The smoking area is right in front of the lobby so we were hit with cigarette smoke and the smell of weed with our 3 kids. Breakfast was ok."

"Sofa bed essentials (sheets and blanket) were not in the room When we called the front desk for something (twice), we were told to come down and get it. Not something I expected when you should have a night person to bring that for you. The front desk needs to work on the smiles and saying hello! That's why it's called hospitality. The suite was great - roomy and comfortable. The lobby had tea which was very helpful!"

"Overall this was a subpar property, you can tell it was newly built but shoddily made. The shower faucet was a very small stream and made it difficult to wash up under. The faucet moved like it was not attached inside the wall. There is a pool onsite but I had made the assumption that there would also be a hot tub. I was wrong, also the pool had a rotten egg smell like you get from well water. There is electric car charging onsite but unlike other hotels where it is either included or billed to your room this one requires us to set up an account to use. With it not being our car (rental) and not having that company where we are from setting up an account for 3 days seemed dumb. So we opted to use an account we have for our electric car we use at home. Overall it was a nice property but after accidentally driving to the wrong property our first night I can safely say the competition was much better for the same price point."

"Everything is great about this hotel. They let us check-in earlier after knowing that we checked out earlier from Hampton Inn in Yosemite and were forced to leave without shower and hot food due to the power off. They saved us the day. Entire front desk are very nice and professional trained. The hotel is very new and clean that we can't find any to complain about. Great quality and quantify of breakfast. We love this hotel and will come back again."

"Location is convenient, the employees were very nice, and the hotel in general is just fine. However, there were several hairs on the bathroom counter when we arrived, and the body lotion and the hair conditioner containers were both empty, which gave us a little confidence that the rest of the room had been cleaned thoroughly. Finally, as Hilton honors members, we would expect to get the best price when booking completely through Hilton, not any third parties. We booked through Hilton a few weeks in advance, and on the night of our arrival we happened to look at the Hilton website and saw that the same room was available for significantly less. We asked at the front desk, and they said they do not change rates after rooms are booked. Maybe this is standard hotel policy, but as regular Hilton users, we expected a little more flexibility."
