Comfort Inn Marina on the Monterey Bay

"I had a pleasant experience. Was upgraded to a king suite. However, it was a bit noisy. I could hear a lot of what was going on in the hallway and next door. I did feel safe."

"Had to leave for another hotel it was that bad, at 10.30pm after a long day of travel too. Pubes in the bed, thick layer of dust on multiple surfaces, waxy unclean residue on the bathroom floor - seemed like they had sprayed something in there and walked away rather than mopping the floor. Hot water didn't work, coffee machine didn't work. Multiple surfaces had some slimy spots, didn't appear to have been wiped or cleaned much, if at all. Nothing like the pictures. I get that it is a cheap room, but I was expecting basic and plain not dirty and broken. It's likely one of the cheaper rooms you can get around here, and if you're on a tight budget then maybe you won't have another choice. But if you can, I would avoid this location if at all possible. It's not worth it, honestly it might ruin your vacation. We ended up paying twice as much to go stay at Holiday Inn instead which is plain but at least comfy and clean."

"So because I am part of the pajaro flood and Monterey county is got me staying here at this place it wouldn’t be my first choice in hotels I’ve been here for3 months they have never given me clean sheets towels or even cleaned my room now they say they don’t want guest taking free breakfast to there rooms in stead sit in a room full of people and take the chance of getting Covid no thanks this hotel gets your money and makes up rules as they go it’s by far the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at that’s why I love Marriott the guest service is the best I and I work for a hotel you can’t tell people this stuff if you allowed it prior to your contract with the county"

"Great hotel for a one-night stopover! I stayed here after our visit to San Francisco. The rooms are very clean, and there’s a sauna that’s also well-maintained. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel."

"I asked if there was a complete breakfast bar when I called to reserve my room they told me yes, but it’s nothing of what’s in the photo that they share. It is something makeshift and it’s not complete by no means. I pre-paid for four days in advance because I was working in the area had to stay an extra day so I came into the front desk in the evening time. And Ask if I can extend an extra day. I then filled out the paperwork and they ran my bank card and thought it was complete. The next day again, I was there for work. I got a call from the front desk, asking me to remove all my items from the room due to lack of payment. I explained that I had already paid the night before, for the extra night, and the female behind the desk rudely told me that there was no record of it I continue to explain for them to reach out to the evening front desk person that ran my card to verify that I was correct. She explained that the owner wanted me to remove my items and get out. I thought that the premise was to encourage people to rent your rooms and to want to come back. I work in the area and I’m not coming back to their hotel ever."
