Ramada by Wyndham Marina

"I have been booking this hotel lately on my visits. I find it comfortable, convenient, clean, quiet and reasonably priced. I will continue to stay here."

"We were visiting Marina, California for our 37th Wedding Anniversary. Our experience was mediocre, and so much was missing from this hotel stay. There's No Breakfast, just coffee sitting in the lobby in a corner tucked away. There's No Store or Sundries on site to get drinks, snacks or incidentals. But there's a 711 store across the street and a Walmart less than a mile drive away. There's No Restaurant on site. There's No Swimming Pool. I was told by the front dek staff that there's No Business Center. There's No Early Check-In. Our flight arrived in San Jose, California at 7:00a.m. we picked up our vehicle rental at 7:30a.m. we had breakfast, did some shopping, visited family then drove for an hour arriving at the hotel at about 1:30p.m. only to be told by the front desk receptionist that we could not do an early check-in so we had to wait until 4:00p.m. There's only three floors and there's no views to speak of, our view was of nothing appealing to the eyes. Just the side of the hotel parking lot, houses and trees. So basically this hotel is a place to sleep with no thrills. We didnt even have an ice bucket to get ice for our wine. Our total cost was $369.81 for 3 nights plus a $50 refundable deposit. Room 309 was very clean and I was grateful to Lupe for the daily housekeeping service she provided. I'm the guest that wipes EVERYTHING starting with the entry door handles to the bedside lamps. I wipe everything with Lysol wipes and no dirt was found anywhere in the room. I even wiped the window seals. I wear bedroom slippers so I can not say if the carpet was dirty or not especially since the color is so dark. The bed (king size) was very comfortable as were the pillows. There's a small desk with a tiny light, and a small round table with one chair for meals. There's a small closet area for storage. A small microwave and a small refrigerator it held our 12 bottles of water wnd 6 mini bottles of coke. The bathroom is a decent size and the shower water flow and temperature was great. The hotel provide Dove hygiene products. The biggest problem we had with room 309 is that the electrical outlets did not accommodate any of our electronic device chargers, the chargers all fit very loosely into the outlets and therefore the devices couldn't get a charge. The only outlet that fit our devices was the bedside table outlets.. The staff was friendly. Would I stay at this hotel again? Only if it was absolutely necessary."

"This hotel was great. We loved that they had a room with 3 King size beds. That meant that no one in my six member family had to sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed. We all got to sleep on super comfy beds! The room was clean and the hotel sunny and bright. Close to all Monterey bay has to offer. We would stay here again. My son and family loved the juice and hot cocoa found in the lobby."

"Excellent Value ! Clean rooms, clean tiled bathroom & shower , clean front desk and lobby, Espresso machine in the lobby, lit parking lot - High ceiling in the rooms made it feel huge, air freshener in the hallways ( nice touch) great value - close to the highway , very pleased -"

"1) Price: booking on the phone from another Monterey Ramada, this Marina Ramada told me the room is $204 plus taxes. I agree. At checkout, the folio shows $279 plus taxes. Verbal contract is binding. I call back and front desk told me I will receive $50 credit. I Do Not think so because a contract is binding. I will take this matter over. Ramada should Not cheat travelers, nickel and dime them. 2) Room: - When the air is turned on, I smell urination smell. This is gross. I surmise someone may have released themselves outside on the air cond. Unit. - And in the bathroom, I smell urination again by the toilet, I have not used it yet. This is gross. - The rectangular table is missing a chair on rollers. Mgt. can fix number 2. For number 1, I will have to contact my credit company to adjust the charge. It's about the principle, a promise is a promise, not a bait-and-switch. The Monterey Ramada receptionist even heard the price of $204 a night for 07Oct2023 so I do have a witness. She's a nice African-American working there and helped me with my previous travel."
