"This place is ON the beach! Beautiful views. The staff here is very alert prompt and friendly."
"Not so “very senior”-friendly. No signs for steps, no yellow paint for steps, some steps has no railings. The main driveway is so narrow that it got blocked by a broken down big rig and no vehicles can go in or out, what if there’s an emergency? No emergency vehicle can go in. They don’t seem to have emergency protocols in place for guests who gets injured in the property. We reported the fall that my 91 yr old father suffered from an unmarked step and quite dark walkway. The staff didn’t offer first aid or emergency services. We got stranded for 5 hours in the property because of that broken down big rig, we could have explored the city that day."
"We stayed here as a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 young children. The location is absolutely perfect as it is literally minutes from the beach. The rooms are a great size and provide families with fully equipped kitchen, which is convenient. We did find certain areas of the rooms uncleaned and we had a few spiders around throughout our stay. I appreciated that the neighbors didn't make excessive noise and that in particular is very important to me. The only negative is during room cleaning, staff were not mindful of how much noise they were making and for about 3 hours between 1 and 3 (which is typically rest time hours) there was loud banging, moving of furniture, cleaning, and of course talking loudly, which disturbed us. I would recommend for staff to be more mindful of their guests as this is a retreat and meant to be relaxing."
"Right on the beach. Service is very good. Rooms are clean. Wifi requires the owner's number and billing zip code (it allows 4 free devices, the max of 10 devices for 10 days costs $16). Shopping (Walmart, Costco, Target) is nearby. 20 minute drive to Monterey and Carmel. Weather is mostly cloudy."
