"I came to this hotel for a convention. The rooms we used to meet in were fine though a bit run down. It looked like there was recent water damage and one area was closed off. For what this hotel is, it is fine. The rooms were clean and spacious for the most part. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had a full bar and wonderful bartenders working. I will be returning next year."
"The staff are some of the nicest and most understanding people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. When I arrived at the Golden Sails after flying for 15 hours, I booked a room on the spot. They were so compassionate and worked to find space for me. They offered me water and snacks while I waited and even upgraded my room so that I would be more comfortable. I felt very well taken care of and the room itself was very spacious and clean. I truly enjoyed my stay and would recommend others stay here as well."
"One star for service because of some obscure rule that they have about housekeeping. The second day we put the Do Not disturb sign out since we really didn't use enough supplies to warrant a refresh. The third day we come back to our room to get ready for a wedding and housekeeping was working the next door room. I asked if they could skip our room and come back in an hour after we leave and they said I needed to arrange the room refresh 24 hours in advance. What??? The fourth day our room wasn't refreshed because they said we cancelled it the day before, which we didn't. Just poor management all around. So much for customer service and making sure their guests have a nice stay."
"This place is good for convenience and location. However, the rooms are what you pay. The queen beds were actually full size not queen. The shower had no pressure. The carpet was visibly dirty. (Bring slippers to walk around the room). Bathroom had a dingy smell. No daily room service. We stayed 3 days and had to ask them to come and dump garbage and provide fresh towels. The grounds/pool area was actually decent looking. The TV is about a 24 inch. The volume must be busted because if you go past 50 it'll start sounding distorted. So long story short...you get for what you pay for. And I thought $179 + tax a night would get me better than this. Should have went to an upscale motel instead."
