"My son lives in Carmel and I am from Michigan. I stayed in this hotel every time I visited, so probably at least 15x over the last few years. He got married on 2/17 and it was a wonderful weekend. However, it was the same weekend as the NBA All Stars event, so the hotel encouraged me, many months ago, to book rooms early, as they would likely be sold out. The room rate was over $500 per night when I booked six mos ago, which I accepted at the time, as I assumed they would all be high that weekend. I happened to look at room rates about a month prior, and they were in the $300 range. I called the hotel and asked to speak with the manager. I also previously emailed her to ask for a lower rate, particularly because of my loyalty in always using Hilton Garden in Carmel. I never received a response. When I called to request a lower rate, I was told that I could cancel my reservation and rebook, but that I wouldn't be guaranteed the two rooms I needed near each other, one for myself and my sister, and the other an accessible one for my 82 year old mother. I decided to keep the reservation as is, but again, asked for the lower rate, since the hotel was not full. There was no appreciation voiced for my loyalty and the hotel refused to lower my rate. They have a lost a customer, and I am VERY disappointed!"
"I have stayed here twice now. The first time was good but it wasnt very busy. The most recent time i stayed in feburary they were busier and their wifi was completely unusable for the 3 nights i stay. If you need stable wifi i dont recommend staying here."
"I needed a place to stay because I was having surgery very early the next day so staying in a hotel was much easier than waking up super early & driving an hour then having surgery. Hilton gave a discount for people having surgery the next day because they are so close to the Indiana surgical center. What a nice idea. Made it a lot easier & more relaxing for the next day's surgery."
"I was impressed how modern and updated the room was. It was very clean. These qualities are important to me. I was also able to walk in and reserve a second unexpected stay. Sarah, the front door receptionist, gave me the best discounted price at a minutes notice. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely use this location again."
