"Update: This was on La Plaza Apts. in ROYAL OAK. Nice location , decent apt. Never have I ever dealt with worse management/maintenance than this company. I typically only give great reviews but this is something that should be worth knowing for future tenants. If you have a request or an emergency, do not count on this to be done urgently or even in a timely manner. IF/WHEN you actually get a hold of somebody from manage, they will always have an excuse. It seems like new residents should be their top priority but this is the furthest from the truth. I chose this place specifically bc I liked the neighborhood, my realtor , Sam, & because I only have use of one hand from a stroke at age 28 & in unit washer & dryer were a must. I’m 32 now. The washers & dryers were not installed properly or hooked up as promised the day I moved in. I also have old doors where air was constantly blowing in causing a drift. Months later when maintenance was able to get to me, they installed weatherstrips incorrectly & my doors no longer lock properly or latch. To get in , a person has to pull up on the knob while twisting the key at the same time. (Use of 2 hands). As I write this I’m currently locked out & the manager is aware .. with no urgency.. at all. Did I mention my bathroom window was installed wrong as well & people can completely see right through it. No other complex has this window. I am a grateful person. & count my blessings daily but geeze this place’s customer service is absolutely terrible."
