"Neahtawanta Inn is an incredible gem! The property and building are beautiful and a great place to relax--and also to work through thorny planning issues. Sally, Anders, and Jacqueline are incredible hosts. They truly care about their guests, and it shows. All of the food I have eaten there, over two separate visits, has been incredible too. Our group eats only organic food, and they accommodated us perfectly. We also hired a chef they recommended for dinners, and she was talented. I would absolutely recommend this place to groups or anyone lucky enough to visit the area."

"Our family has just returned home from another GREAT family vacation spent at the Neahtawanta Inn. We first discovered this gem in 2019 and have returned every year (except 2020). It has become a non-negotiable for our family to spend time at Neahtawanta every Summer. It is hard to describe in words how special this place is but I will do my best:-). First and foremost the family that runs Neahtawanta is absolutely wonderul. I can honselty say, I consider Sally (Co-founder of the Inn), her grandson Anders and wife Jaclyn (who run the Inn now with Sally entering retirment) their sweet daughter Joanie and of course their loveable cat Marco exteneded members of our family. That is RARE and treasured by us. In terms of amenities you just can't beat the value. The Inn is positioned at the end of a strech of road that follows the beautiful Traverse Bay, providing guests direct access to the Bay, including comfortable Adirondac chairs to soak up Traverse Bay's beauty, as well as, Kayaks, Canoes, and Floaties at your disposal. Also, each morning you will wake to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and an amazing homemade breakfast which includes all locally grown ingredients. Every breakfast is always accompanied with a beautifully presented plate of fruit, again from local TC farms. My daughter is obsessed with Sally's homemade bread and Anders and Jaclyn were so kind to send us off with a loaf of Sallys bread this year and hopefully a bread making lesson next Summer with Sally:-) We love Neahtawanta Inn and can't wait to see you all next year!"

A favorite part about our visits is the opportunity to experience stillness and solitude- watching the waves in the bay, a walk around the point, reading- as well as community and connection- through conversation, shared meals, an on-site yoga class. "My husband and I have been coming up to visit TC several times a year since 2014 and have stayed in a variety of lodgings around the area. I can honestly say that the Neahtawanta Inn was the very best accommodation we've ever had, and I have so many regrets about not discovering it sooner. We often felt like we were visiting the lakehouse of a very wealthy and absent friend! We'd sit out on the dock, paddle around in the canoe, play bocce on the lawn, and cuddle with Marco the cat on the porch. I also very much appreciated the yoga studio as I'm 7 months pregnant and start every day with some prenatal stretches. We stayed in Room 678 which overlooks the bay. I enjoyed morning coffee in the little sunroom attached to the suite as I looked out over the mature trees and the shining water. Sally and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful! We loved sitting out on the porch with our home-cooked breakfast every morning. This place was the perfect retreat, and we can't wait to return!"
