"A great place to stop for a winter beverage, food, or a horse drawn wagon ride with friends down a snowy winter road. Warm up around the fireplace as you enjoy some hot chocolate or an adult beverage. I always bringing my friends and family here when they come to visit us in Northen Michigan."

"We went to their Christmas Hayride and Santa greeting. It was lovely. The hay wagon has fresh hay and was pulled by two beautiful horses and driven by a “cowboy” (which thrilled my 3 year old grandson). Beautiful ride through the woods. Following we were welcomed into a lodge gorgeously decorated for Christmas. But (again for my grandson) the highlight was Santa Claus. His costume was beautiful and he was wonderful with little children. There was plenty of time for photos next to a roaring fire. They had refreshments (cookies and hot chocolate). By far best Santa sighting this year. We’ll go back next year!"

"The owner is wildly inconsiderate towards customers and her own staff. Often I witnessed her reprimanding and rasing her voice at her employees and it is clear that she is hindering proper care and treatment of her own horses. The staff are wonderful, but I feel bad that they have to deal with an unprofessional boss."

"Ranch Room: It is a ranch, not a hotel. So the rooms are pretty standard. I felt it was a bit pricey but guess it is the average price around summer in this area. There is no microwave oven or mini refrigerator so there's no way to store anything. You will need to bring your own cooler. The restaurant was closed which made it difficult as we had to drive 6 miles to find the nearest food joint. There are a couple of ponds and a pool right next to the rooms, fireplace and playground for kids. Horse Back Riding: This was the main reason we stayed at the ranch. The wrangler was really good and explained every minute things and kept us engaged and informed. Kayaking: We did the 4 mile kayaking. It took us almost 2 hours to complete. Its a steady downstream but had so many turns. Its definitely not for kids. Both of us capsized but it was pretty good. The Ranch doesnt own the river so you might find other people on the way. It was a slow weekend when we were there so we were the only one kayaking. We did see a couple of anglers. It was pretty common to see branches and tree hanging in the river and i got smacked on the face a lot of time. So kids should avoid this. The water level is knee deep in most places and few feet at few places. Overall it was a good weekend away from the busy life."
