"On US 31 just south of the mall. It is convenient to shopping, and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. They offer juice, coffee, tea, milk, make-your-own waffles, bagels and breads, muffins, donut holes, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and more. Everything we ate was yummy! We brought home takeout for dinner and ate in the lovely lobby area. We sat before the pretty electric fire afterward. The bed was comfortable, and the toiletries smelled great. We are Wyndham Rewards members, and the room cost us under $80 per night. What a deal!!! We would definitely stay there again."

"The room we were in needs a lot of work. There is a huge water spot in the bathroom above he shower head that was rusted/moldy. Faucet in shower was rusted. Shower did not drain well. As for the room, it was ok, I get you get what you pay for...but a fresh coat of paint, and fixing torn window treatments would go a long way. Mattress are horrible and make a god awful sound. When we checked in the window had been left unlocked, and we were on the ground floor. Most of the staff we interacted with was pleasant, but there were a couple of staff members who just truly did not care to help at all."

"This place feels like the best someone can possibly do with an older Baymont property. I’ll start with the obvious; the rooms are pretty outdated and the furniture is getting old, and since it’s Traverse City it’s going to be at least marginally overpriced. However, someone in management here has their finger on the pulse of what’s important for guests to make their stay seem just a little elevated from a typical hotel in this class. The continental breakfast is fabulous; eggs, sausage, hash browns, and waffles, along with all the typical cold items you find most places. It’s very clean and restocked consistently. Even the plates and napkins feel a little more sturdy than they need to. The pool and hot tub areas are clean and well functioning (and not very crowded when we were there) and there is some nice outdoor furniture in the outdoor patio area. The in-room amenities are also a step up. The coffee to use in the in-room coffee maker was actually decent, which I didn’t know could happen (although coffee and a nice tea selection is available in the lobby 24/7.) The bath products, though tiny, were Dove brand instead of some no-name hotel brand, so I trusted them more then I normally would. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable and clean, though the room overall has just a tinge of that “can’t get completely clean” feeling that older properties in need of renovation have. I think that if it’s within the realm of possibility, a room refresh including new mattresses, paint, and bathroom fixtures/tile would elevate this property that clearly has a competent management team."

"Had to have an emergency stop due to weather. Got our room around 9pm to 10pm. Went to go lay down to get back on the road early and went to pull the covers and there was a bed bug. I have a picture below. Let the desk guy know, he canceled our room. We called in the morning and the guy from the night before never even told the morning crew. Neither seemed to concerned. Bed bugs are no joke. Someone needs to get in there are clean and treat for these. You will lose everything to bed bugs if you end up having one come home with you. They spread fast and take over. You cannot just treat one room. The entire building needs to be shut down and treated. You will only have them move to a different room if you centralize the treatment. Yes, I am totally being a Karen about this as this could really be an expensive issue for anyone that stays there and bring them home with them."
