Grand Traverse Motel

"An absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and welcoming staff. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The grab and go breakfast options were particularly impressive. The room may not be the most luxurious, but it was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room had plenty of storage including a full sized refrigerator. My only room complaint is that the shower did not get quite hot enough for me. The location is unbeatable, making it convenient to access all the local attractions and restaurants. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place that still offers a fantastic location, exceptional service, and a comfortable stay, I highly recommend this hidden gem of a motel. I'd gladly return for another stay!"

"This is a cute motel. Location is great. I had no issue walking to town. The road noise didn’t bother me. But my complaint is the bed. It is absolutely awful. I tossed and turned the entire night. I’m not sure if it’s too hard or too soft. My back hurts so bad I can’t even move. When I woke up and went to turn over my back cracked in like 14 places. While I loved everything else about this place the bed is a deal breaker for me. If I come to TC again I won’t be able to stay here. Maybe consider upgrading your mattresses."

"Great price! Everything clean and bed comfy, actually nicer than a hotel we just stayed at last weekend close by for a wedding. Friendly staff. Only complaint is the brand new smart TV not so smart. It kept switching from cable to Netflix and the only way to fix it was needing the actual TV remote which wasn't available in the room, although the owner was kind enough to come to the room and fix. Would definitely stay again."

"Hit car trouble outside of Traverse City and had to stay in town overnight. Grand Traverse Motel was a clean, comfortable stay that fit my budget for a surprise expense while still allowing for a bit of experiencing the city and some of its local businesses. Staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Light sleepers may be bothered by the passing vehicle noise from Front Street and/or the light from the outdoor walkways, but this didn’t bother me at all. Would have been happy to stay longer if my car repairs dragged on. Thanks for the accommodations, Grand Traverse Motel!"

"Just spent 2 nights at this hotel. I have to disagree with the reviews about cleanliness. Room was very clean and spacious. Check in was fine. Grab and go breakfast was awesome. Lots of options for customers on the go. I gave 4 stars just because it is somewhat dated. Price was not bad at all. Overall, I was really happy with my stay and will definitely recommend to friends and family. My son recommended this place to me."
