The Capitol

"Horrific experience. We moved in and out of apartment 28k within a month. They were charging almost 9k for a 2 bed 2 bath but the second we moved in there have been issues non-stop. For example, the toilet clogged 5 different times and overflowed once, there was a horrible smell in the other toilet, there were chips and holes in the walls, the heater also broke. After numerous calls and emails and meetings with the management team, they refused to offer any concessions and at the time when we moved out the toilet was STILL not fixed and they had already listed the unit on streeteasy. The Capitol's management is the most unreasonable and inflexible team I've ever interacted with. Avoid this place if you can."

"The Capitol building should not even be considered for prospective tenants. The 13th precinct had its monthly meeting on September 19th, and most of the record attendance came to voice their outrage at The Capitol 's stewardship in of their once lovely Park, now overrun by very aggressive, weapon dealing drug dealers and users. The owners of the Capitol take zero active approach to the problem, putting people who walk through the park, the people who live in the block, and people who come to the new restaurants in extreme danger. Oh, they DO turn in sprinklers. FACT. If people are interested in living in this burgeoning area, they would be MUCH better served by trying one of the many other high rise buildings in the area, where I would think building ownership would want to make the area safer for all concerned, not a war zone like The owners of The Capitol have allowed. Please look elsewhere, your and your families safety LITERALLY depends on it."

"Simone was the absolute best we've ever worked with. The entire building is extremely nice, and we've never worked with a leasing agent as kind, friendly and helpful as Simone. I'd highly recommend checking out the capital and working with Simone for any future apartment search"

"This expensive luxury apartment building runs a private park which connects 26th and 27th street. The private park is open to the public, and there is little to no security for the park. This has become a place for all of the homeless to use drugs and set up camps. This has also bled into the neighboring streets when the park closes each evening, leaving needles and trash all over the block and the park. The neighborhood has become unsafe for those who live in the building and surrounding area. When I moved in, I thought this would be a great place to have lunch or work outside, but now I'm left feeling unsafe and walking as quickly as I can to avoid. I do not recommend."

"I’ve lived at the Capitol for 2 years and have had the best living experience of my life. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very good at their jobs. Maintenance fixes things quickly. The amenities are wonderful and clean. My apartment is quiet and has an incredible view. Truly a dream come true."
