Hilton Club The Quin New York

"This hotel has THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. When I say that the management team does not care whatsoever about their customers, I mean it. My wife and I had booked 2 nights using Amex Points for a little weekend get together. Being 7 months pregnant, she didn't bother to double check if she had her drivers license on her since she clearly was not going to be going bar hopping. We had unfortunately booked the hotel through her name but had the card we'd booked with, multiple cards in her name, a PICTURE of the front and back of her drivers license, as well as a picture of her passport. The manager (Brendan) REFUSED to accept any of this as verification of her identity and instead of even trying to help, wanted us to cancel our reservation, lose the points used to book it, and then rebook at a 150$ more per night. To make matters even more frustrating, when we initially asked if there was any way to resolve the issue, THE STAFF LITERALLY ROLLED THEIR EYES and looked bored before suggesting we try to switch the name on the reservation to mine. Unfortunately, Amex online travel service's system was down. To try and help us out, Amex called The Quin to let them know that yes, this was indeed my wife and I, and that the system was currently inoperable. Brendan the manager could not have cared less about my very pregnant wife and was entirely dismissive. I sincerely hope that anyone looking to stay here sees this review. Take your money or points and stay at Park Lane or Le Meridien. This hotel is a TRAVESTY and puts the term "hospitality" to shame. Brendan the manager is an awful representative for the Hilton Brand, and is an abysmal manager that should not be working in any service capacity. I can say with zero hesitation that the entire experience has destroyed my desire to stay at Hilton Hotels. I would give "The Quin" zero stars if it were possible."

"Two blocks away from Central Park. Hotel is centrally located to all NYC quick trip has to offer. Studio Room was comfortable and well suited for NYC. I think the service compared to the reviews was exceptional. Checkin was smooth. Approved for late checkout without extra fee. The front desk would get cab and gave great food selection."

"If you don’t mind roaches in your hotel Room and to not be offered any sort of compensation when you notify the hotel then stay here. When I called the front desk I wasn’t even offered a new room until I went to the desk in the morning and insisted I be moved. I get it’s the city. But at least offer some sort of compensation. Also the showers smell like mold."

"This is pretty high end hotel. We got a 1 br suite which was spacious with 1.5 baths. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very very good. They have multiple chargers in the room and by the bed side so very convenient to charge all the electronics. Beds were very comfortable."
