One East Harlem Apartments

"No AC in Summer and No Heat in Winter. One week into moving in, the AC in my living room stopped working. This is the more necessary AC as it cools everything but the bedroom. Maintenance was quick to fix it, but the problems persisted and I had to do manual resets several times. Now, it is winter and this same unit will not heat at all. I didn't realize it as it took several days to understand while the unit would turn on, it would not actually heat. I learned that it has something to do with the 'sensors'? Now, I'm smelling gas in my bedroom unit whenever it attempts to come on??? I cannot submit a maintenance request through the portal because I've been locked out of my account. I called management several weeks ago and have sent a few emails, yet still, I cannot access my account. Today, I called the number provided for maintenance and was told that because it is the weekend, I cannot get support on my lack of heat until Monday. Read the bad reviews about this place carefully. They will show you the truth! Constant weed smell in bathrooms because of shared vents even though smoking isn't allowed. Gym equipment that doesn't work, improper cleaning supplies in the gym. Germ city! Iffy elevator service with no notice (I've been stuck in the basement twice and had to walk up to the main floor, I've also been stuck on my floor and had to walk down). Stolen packages are a constant even though there is a mailroom!"

"Beautiful property filled with amazing city views! The leasing team is extremely helpful and kind and gave me an amazing tour of all the great amenities they have to offer. I would recommend taking a tour and seeing it for yourself!"

"This building is wonderful & I would have given 5 stars, but nothing is perfect. The building is brand new, all the amenities you could want and a professional staff. If I had to pick one thing I’d say the neighborhood is undergoing a transformation while trying to maintain the decades of charm & culture, known as Harlem."

"GAS PIPE ISSUES, NO HEAT ALL WINTER!!! I made a maintenance request in NOVEMBER 2022. Maintenance man said the gas pipes for most heaters in the building were installed incorrectly and a lot of units were having this issue. Today is APRIL 2023 and I’m still without heat in my bedroom. The building is “new” but it is already breaking down and management does not keep up with issues. Be very careful here."

"Very professional staff and great building. Didn't end up taking it unfortunately because the neighbourhood is sketchy. Saw a bunch of people in handcuffs in the neightbourhood that gave me the vibe, there is high crime. It could be safe. The building has 24/7 security but we typically do a lot of night life and didn't end up taking it due to the same reason"
