"The hotel was within walking distance of some fun places to eat. For someone looking for something a little unusual try the Cauldron for a fun drink. It is close by. The room was fine. There was vinyl flooring that looked newer. The bathroom was a little tight and the sink area didn’t have room for even a toothbrush or toothpaste. The elevators are slow so be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you have to be somewhere or ask for a lower room so you can use the stairs."

"I thought the location for this hotel was great. Located right across the street from Whitehall station (R and W), you have easy access to Brooklyn, shopping, and other New York attractions. The Staten Island ferry is a short walk from this hotel. The rooms were OK. (reminds me more of a Hilton Garden Inn than a Doubletree), and for me, the service was great. I definitely would stay in this hotel again. Tip: if you’re using the R or W train to get to this hotel, if coming from Midtown, upon exiting the train, walk toward the rear of the train for the closest exit to this hotel. after exiting the turnstiles, turn right to get to the exit, that’s right across the road from the hotel. it’s important to note that the four and five trains are one block away from the hotel at Bowling Green station."

"The location and service at this location was great. Very conveniently located to sightseeing opportunities and the subway. The staff was very friendly and would take time to ask about my dog and pet him. The room was nice and well kept, however, it was very small. Our room unfortunately smelled very wet the the 4 days we were there. It did rain the 3/4 days in NYC but the smell of wet and borderline mildew-y was unpleasant. I can live with that given the weather, but what I can't live with is the elevator situation. The reviews and struggle are real. You need to add 15-20 minutes to any travel plans you have because it will take that long just to get on one. And expect that each way--going down and up. You also need to plan for the elevators to get crammed due to the wait. So hopefully you are not afraid of crowds and cramped spaces. While the hotel stay was pleasant overall, we will not be staying there again due to the elevator situation. That's the only reason I give the hotel 3 star."

"It was provided to me by the airlines so I did not spend anything here. Rooms are clean but small. Staff is very helpful. since I had no local number they helped me to call a taxi. Location is very good. New york stock exchange, charging bull and statue of Liberty viewing park is 5-10 mins walk away. The complementary coffee available in the room is awesome."

"To start the hotel is a good location, room is nice and clean, and the staff is nice. However, the walls are paper thin and depending on the neighbors you have, you will be tortured by every sound and feel as if you are sharing the same room with complete strangers. Don’t expect staff to do anything, even though they are nice. We have complained several times about the noise and staff did not change our room, and told us to talk to a manager. I have shown them video proof of the noise (several videos) and they never ask the guest to lower their voices and keep noise level down. I have never had such a terrible time in a Hilton hotel, and we only ever stay in Hilton hotels, as we are diamond. Definitely not feeling like a valued guest. I feel like I spent money to be tortured and not able relax at all. Our first night the noise continued until 1am. Do not stay here unless you can handle hearing every noise from your neighbors. Plus there are 4 people staying in a 2 person room. Literally could hear them blowing up an air mattress. I don’t know how this is acceptable. After 10pm we expect to be able to relax and have peace and quiet. NOT HERE. I should’ve read the subpar reviews before staying here."
