"I visited New York for a conference and stayed at the Hilton Midtown. The room was very comfortable and Miss Desiree, our housekeeper, made the room feel like home. She was very considerate of our timing in order to clean and was lovely to speak with. As a matter of fact, all of the staff was friendly and courteous as well as helpful. I highly recommend the Hilton Midtown for business or pleasure as it is walking distance to Times Square, the Theatre District, and so much more."

"Giving 3 stars relative to other Hiltons in NYC, not in comparison to other hotels. The biggest issue is that you cannot change the thermostats in the rooms. Was not unique to my room, all other people in our party had the same experience, and the front desk said nothing could be done. Our room was blasting heat all night, which made for restless sleep. Another issue was the baggage check. It's located far away from the front desk and bell service. When we went to get our bags at 7:30 pm before going to catch a train, the baggage service was closed. Front desk said it wasn't their responsibility, luggage service is open till 9 pm, and sent us to the bell hop service, who said that the guy was probably just using the bathroom. After waiting 5-7 minutes, we explained to the bell service that we could miss our train, they began making calls trying to figure out what was going on. 20 minutes later the luggage guy came running up, dripping sweat. No idea where he was, but pretty unprofessional."

"Dear Management, Your staff are fabulous! Everyone I came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. I do have one suggestion. The rooms are not clean please train your cleaners. You can do better! This is a Hilton in Manhattan. The room I was given was absolutely filthy. I was in NYC for a real estate conference and the Hilton Midtown was supposed to be my home away from home for the better part of the week. All I could think of is how mortified any member of the Hilton family would be if they stayed in the room. Personally, I don't think they could tolerate it. The first room I was assigned had a filthy sink and toilet which had not been cleaned. The sink was clogged. There's an acrylic nail on the carpet from whoever was in the room before me. It was absolutely disgusting. The front desk was very helpful and reassigned my room. The next room had a loud rattling HVAC system, the bathtub had a brown streak stain that looked like a dog had an accident and there was someone's hair in the bathtub. To make matters worse, the toilet had a partially broken lever and was difficult to flush. In both rooms the light switches were filthy with black dirt stains. Th walls were also dirty. The bed sheets in one of the beds gave me a rash the following night. I slept in the other bed and it was fine. I give you a three-star review mostly because of the location and amenities of this hotel. The location really couldn't be any better but the rooms are not acceptable. This is a Hilton, you can do better."

"I stayed at the Hilton because I was attending a conference at the hotel. Overall, I had a good stay. The room was spacious, the shower was really nice, and the bed was comfortable. I was on the 31st floor and I found it very quiet, both outside (didn't hear any noise from the street) and inside (didn't hear people in other rooms or in the corridor very much. It wasn't disruptive.). My room had a fridge and I was given free WiFi. My only negative is that upon closer look, there were little things about the room that were a bit tired. After my first shower on the first day, I notice my towels had a few small stains (I asked the cleaning staff to replace them the next morning, which they did), the wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling, the bedside table had some gunk on it that didn't come off. Also, there is no coffee maker in the room, which I expect of a 4-star hotel. The location was great, could walk to many things, including Times Square, and was close the several subway lines. The service was polite overall. I arrived at the hotel early and when I said I was checking in that day, they offered to check me in early but didn't tell me that it would cost $50. I had overheard this being told to someone else checking in so I asked and then they confirmed the additional fee. They said they could keep me bag for free if I wanted to come back later to check in, which I did. Also, the day I left, I had to leave my bag for a few hours and they charge $5 per bag. I find this a bit much considering the price I paid for a 4-star hotel. So overall, a good stay but there are a few things that could use improvement."
