“Excellent hotel, really charming building, comfortable rooms with everything we needed. Whole stay made easy and so enjoyable by the super helpful and friendly staff. Felt so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, eggs that I will never forget! Two minutes to the Albert Hall, 5-10 minutes walk to the V&A and Natural History & Science museums. Worth every penny! We ll be back.”

“Excellent restaurant, helpful and attentive staff. All of my fish was overcooked but the croquettes were fabulous handmade bombs of flavour. I absolutely loved the restaurant. Next time I'll order meat.”

“Order through just eat and found the food extremely flavourful & fresh. Good portion sizes and well packed. Ordered the Lamb Beyti & ARNAVUT CIGERI Which is lamb liver. The bread was also warm, soft n fresh Very impressive. I loved the food.”

“Great comms via Instagram (I brought my small dog with me so wanted to check if it was dog-friendly, which it is). We sat outside, which was quiet (I suspect busier during the week with the Canary Wharf work crowd) but more people dined inside. Staff were amazing- very attentive, friendly & accommodating. We went for the 2-course lunch menu, which included thali options as the main. This was perfect for us, as it had a bit of everything you fancied. My friend is coeliac, which wasn't a problem, as most of the dishes were gluten-free. The food was tasty & portions were generous (especially the starters). I would highly recommend & look forward to returning again soon!”

“I come down here with my mates and play every Tuesday! The staff are professional and the pitch is well looked after to play a good game of football. What’s also amazing is the fact that Barnet FC is right next to it and when the fans come to cheer on their team the atmosphere feels like you are playing in the stadium with the spot light on you.”

“Had a lovely stay here recently in a twin double room. Hotel has a lot of character, looks the part for the area and is well located for local venues. Room was clean and tidy and well equipped with a decent size TV, room fridge and other expected amenities. Staff were very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.”

“A wonderful hotel reasonably priced in a nice, quiet location. Very close to Earl's Court tube station which made it easy to get around the city. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was small but clean and modern. We were very satisfied with our stay!”

“The room was comfortable and clean but when showering water seems to spill over onto floor so needed to use towel to mop up water. Also coffee machine water leaking when you fill it and door to enter room sticks when you try and lock from inside. But service and food excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you.”

“The people who are giving 1 star surely expected for this to be the Ritz or Four Seasons. The stay was fantastic, especially considering the budget price-point. Everything was clean and the room was extremely quiet. I was kind of worried about being on the first floor because my room faced the street, but I couldn’t hear anything at all. The only complaint I have is the shower. The water pressure is fantastic and the bathroom is spotless, but if you turn the water up too high, it splashes under the shower curtain on to the floor. This is just a design error. FYI, you have to request a hair dryer, cleaning, new towels, etc. IN GENERAL: clean, quiet, amazing location, comfy bed and friendly staff.”

“Best place to stay in London! Simply can't say enough good things about this hostel! The staff are friendly, kind and very accommodating. The rooms are clean and there's free lockers under every bed (bring your own lock). There's lots of bathrooms, also very clean. Best of all, there's an awesome pub just downstairs that really comes alive at night. It can get a little noisy with the live music at night, but the staff give you a really good quality pair of earplugs upon arrival. Don't let the noise bother you though, go downstairs and join in! The environment is very inviting and you immediately feel at home! This is a great hostel to make new friends and meet people from all around the world. Thank you all so much for such a great stay, will definitely be returning!”

“Experience great, trying a burger, sure it will be fine. Very busy with lots of happy people. A great place. I am a bit confused as the boss says it's a backpacker hostel. Ok but £164 a night, guess I am out of touch. No criticism (in any bad way) but did not realize it was that costly for people to get a room for the night. All done, this is an excellent place, great fun and friendly. Take a bow!!!”

“Beautiful spot! But get there on time for dinner or you’ll be stuck at the bar having drinks only- which is actually a good time because they have a DJ so the bar area doubles up as a dance floor. The staff are lovely and guests are super friendly- you may end up on the dance floor having a good time with strangers, which is always a fun!”

“We went to the Blakes hotel restaurant last Saturday night without a reservation. We were greeted warmly then treated with delicious food and excellent service!!! Simone was our waiter and he served us brilliantly while regularly coming over to check that everything was okay during our meal - which it always was. Marta is one of the managers there and was excellently attentive while also ensuring that our experience was formidable. Classy, sophisticated, delicious with impeccable standards and service!”

“Nice place for a meet up with food and drink. Stayed here in the village recently and been back. Great entertainment at the weekends. Karaoke yesterday which went down really well. Great team behind the bar, makes your visit more enjoyable for sure.”

“This hotel is great! You can walk everywhere, the rooms are very clean and bright and the gym was excellent. Loved that there was a second floor restaurant and ground floor dining option and coffee shops/grocery stores nearby to grab small items. Only complaint would be the hallways are extremely dark.”

“A part of a weekend away package. The service was excellent, the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, they even manage to squeeze us in for a meal on a busy Saturday. As expected full of rock memorabilia the hotel is worth a visit if you're not staying. Very close to Hyde Park, bonus for us as we sat on the grass listening to the Rolling Stones in concert. The only issue We had was the toilet was very close to the sink and a bit of a squeeze. Otherwise worth every penny.”
