The Railway Tavern
“Great little pub, went for Monday night quizz, very well organised.Brilliant halloween decorations.”
Ye Olde Mitre Barnet
“Oldest Pub in Barnet. I like the atmosphere here. Good selection of beers too.”
Ye Olde Monken Holt
“Lovely local pub with live music on a Sunday evening. It's a great place to sit enjoying a drink.”
The Grenadier
“Out of the way gem of a bar that's tucked away in a seemingly residential corner of London. Incredibly friendly staff! Great selection of beer and cider. Great bar eats! Highly recommend trying the Scotch eggs! Be sure to look up while you're there. The ceiling is also covered in dollar bills with little messages written on them.”
The Windsor Castle N2
“Great atmosphere and good food. Recently enjoyed a meal here and was impressed by the quality and service. Owners have done a great job with the place and I look forward to coming back soon.”
Prince of Wales Townhouse
“By far my favourite local pub. Great selection of beers by the Smokehouse brewery and other guest lines. There's also a decent selections of cans in the fridge. The food portions are pretty generous and tasty - ribs night is a particular favourite. Pub is super dog friendly.”
The Crown & Sceptre, Shepherd's Bush
“The Crown & Scepter is one of those rare backstreet neighbourhood pubs that survived the storm of closing pubs across the country through sheer quality. The reasons it survived are its amazing quality authentic thai cuisine, its great range of beers and its large and comfortable in and outdoor spaces. Its also typically not completely packed out allowing for drop in visits in a time of having to book ahead, even on a Friday night. I would recommend anyone in the area to take the extra steps to visit.”
The Duke's Head
“Amazing place, beautifully decorated, the food is amazing, with friendly staff & a relax environment. I would highly recommend”
Old Town Tavern
“Neat little pub. The service was great and the food was tasty. I didn't expect mexican food, but it was quite good.”
The Magdala
“Wonderful food - menu is small but lovely, filled with British food with a modern twist. Excellent wine list as well, with good selection and honest prices. Absolutely adored the friendly staff and nice decor. I look forward to go again to try more plates once the weather warms up again.”
The Ivy House
“Sadly I am not a comunity owner, but wished I am. I've been coming to this community pub since its opening. A best friend had his 40th here and his brother provided the Elvis tribute entertainment, because it has, scarce for a pub, a proper stage. Saw the house tribute band perform a tribute to Bowie after his early death. Then there is the atmosphere of an unspoiled pub, friendly staff, local ales, craft beers and tasty food (try the gourmet pizzas), which all adds up to a super local. Try it as a destination pub; you will not be disappointed.”
Tapping The Admiral
“Loved this pub. Great beer. Loved all the thematic nautical stuff. Good beer garden.”
The Mayflower Pub
“Excellent food in a cozy, down to earth atmosphere. The Sunday roast was delicious--the sauce was flavorful and potatoes were slightly crispy, as if baked after steamed. The lamb neck with couscous could not have been better--tender and juicy meat falling off the bone. Starters were excellent as well-- delicate scallops with avo and bacon, and spicy squid in cream sauce with a baguette. One of the best meals!”
The Two Brewers
“Absolutely love this place, before and after Spurs games ,gets busy but excellent crowd and decent beer. Music and football playing on large televisions. Friendly staff and management, always a pleasure.”
The Holy Tavern
“A unique and very special London pub experience. Fresh beer straight from the barrel in a historic building that makes you think that Pepys and Dickens might walk in any second. Decent pork pies, too!”
Duke Of Edinburgh
“Lovely cosy old school boozer. Tvs showing football and racing. Good drinks selection. These are the pubs wetherspoons can never create, we need to keep hold of this type of pub ! Price wise cheaper than average.”
The Stanhope Arms
“The sticky toffee pudding is the best I have ever tasted. Overall the food was superb. Delicious and served by such lovely staff. Credit to you guys. Keep it up cos we will be back.”
The George and Dragon
“Love the relaxed vibe and great food here. The leafy outdoor seating and children's playground are also highlights.”
The Bell
“A classic old English pub in a very quaint village. The real stand out here though is the food - pub classics done very well and the most delicious home-made desserts. Make a reservation and enjoy a hearty, comforting meal.”
Bucks Head
“An awesome spot for lunch after a long walk in Knole Park. Smiley faces and big welcomes as soon as you step through the door and the quality continues right through each course until you decide to leave after a couple of pints and warning up by the fire. Food was on point ans service was great, couldn’t fault it on bit.”
The New Angel Inn
“Good and cold beer. But as important is service and the service here is lovely correct polite and very very friendly. Great music and outside area too. No hassle just a nice group of people enjoying a glass or ten after work. Pool is the only let down as I can't win.... Bah humbug. Again lovely staff and lovely pub! John-boy. Mines a fosters please landlady!”
The Plough
“This is definitely one of the nicest place I have been to. I have only been there for a meal twice, and can honestly say that I gave never been disappointed with the meals I had. The first time I went there I gad the roast lamb with vegetables, unfortunately when I got there yesterday the only option available was the roast beef, as the Lamb abd Chicken had all gone & boy oh boy! was I glad. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection by Ben (The Owner) I would suggest phoning at 12.00pm (when they open) or a day or two in advance if possible, to book a table , and get there early.. Ben and his staff are extremely pleasant, & can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your experience of eating at his Pub/Restaurant. I would definitely go again. My thanks to everyone at The Plough in Basted, Kent . Until the next time..”
Bricklayers Arms
“Wonderful service, prompt with a smile, and really nice options on the menu. We ended up here somewhat by accident after the Grufalo trial and booked a table purely based on reviews. Although it was about 15 minutes away I'd say it was worth the drive. We had the double stacked friend chicken burger, pear and walnut salad, ribs for starter and the meringue which was a perfect summer dessert. Good vegetarian options as well. They cater well for outside bookings and are also well setup post Covid. Lovely pub, lovely people in a lovely area.”
Cambridge Theatre
“A lovely theatre, very reasonably priced. Matilda was amazing. The little girl playing Matilda (Laurel Sumberg) was out of this world. Best west end musical I have ever had the pleasure of watching! Looking forward to seeing it again.”
Kiln Theatre
“Lovely small theatre. The toilet is large enough so there won't be super long queue. The bar also has a large space so it won't be very crowded. The seat is comfortable as well. The whole area also has many restaurants so it is easy to come early and have some dinner nearby before the show.”
Stanley Arts
“A beautiful wedding venue with fantastic staff who could not have been more accommodating. if you are looking for somewhere to get married or have any kind of event Stanley Arts is amazing for it.”
Woolwich Works
“Woolwich works is a large venue in a historic factory building in the middle of the Woolwich Arsenal area. We have been a couple of times to see the london video game orchestra who are amazing in themselves. The location has good acoustics and the team do a great job of getting the sound and lighting just right. There is a good size bar and plenty of toilets so no massive queues. There is not much in the way of restaurants in the area sadly. The are a couple of pubs and small places but they did not really cater well for vegan/vegetarian so we had to eat elsewhere. It's easy to get to via the DLR and the really nice new Elizabeth line.”
Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio
“Went to see the Demon Dentist, it was a great show. The theatre is good sized. You can't find popcorn but you can find everything else. There is a Uni Cafe with decent prices! Loved the show and would definitely go again!”
