Tally Ho! Experiences
“Amazing!! It seemed really scary at first to do a tour in London but Katie knew where to take you, keep you safe and give you an amazing tour filled with interesting stories and jokes. I would really recommend it”
Jazzbourne
“Had the most amazing birthday party at this beautiful venue. It’s run by awesome people and the atmosphere is simply sublime. It’s easy to get to from London Bridge & very close to many bus routes and only minutes away from New Cross station. The Jazzbourne is a comfortable venue with great facilities and they also run a wide range of activities… be sure to check them out!”
Luna Domes Luxury Glamping
“Stayed here while attending a wedding at Hoath House. It was marvelous. The dome had a lovely view, a hot tub, a bbq, and once we figured out how to use the bio furnace was toasty warm over what we’re two cold nights! Plus, the bed was so comfortable I will be emailing the owners to find out where I can buy the same mattress! Finally, my boyfriend is 2 meters tall (6’7) and he could stand up and fit comfortably - this is a huge win!!”
Wandle Pirates Surf & Turf
“Usually I can be quite critical with a review, but I have to say the food in this place is unbelievably exceptional. Everything was bursting with flavor and I can say, hand on heart, I've eaten steak in a restaurant in London that has been reviewed by a global audience and this was nicer. The starter was really tasteful and not only was the presentation spot on, the seasoning was perfect on everything. Hidden gem.”
Muisca Colombian Coffee
“Best hot or ice coffee I've ever tasted and I'm fussy as hell with my coffee. John is an artist”
14 Arrows Tattoo Studio & Coffee Lounge
“Excellent 80's vibe cafe, very cosy and lovely atmosphere in this cafe, owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Stranger Things pinball in this venue. Highly recommend.”
Non restaurant
“refreshing mango salad with beef , balanced , authentic food . the Vegetarian spring rolls were so crispy and flavours blended so well. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant !!”
Filishack
“I've been going here for years; from when the brother duo had their food shack and now at their shop too. The food is delicious and full of flavour, I'd highly recommend their burrito wraps and filishack fries.”
Grand Cholan
“This is our to-go place for authentic Indian cuisine. Vegetarian dishes are fantastic. Biryani is out of this world! Portions are generous. Our waiter Shanta was very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended!”
The Portobello Inn
“Just to be clear my scoring system: 1/ Don't go, just don't. 2/ I can't recommend going 3/ I enjoyed it but probably won't go back 4/ I enjoyed it, would go back especially if invited 5/ I enjoyed it, would invite others there myself Honestly I was a touch worried when I entered. It looked just a little bit tired and like a local pub. Should have realised that this just meant it hadn't been turned into a sterile gastropub chain... Because I had the steak. On a hot stone. It was amazing! I love nowhere near... But genuinely if I was anywhere even close I'd go back just to eat that again!!! Service was great and the marquee although temperature went up and down a bit stayed warm enough to keep us comfortable. That steak............”
The Cricket Lounge
“Absolutely delicious. Quite possibly the best Indian meal I've had in the UK. I highly recommend this place. Please book ahead of visit. Will definitely return.”
The Woodman Pinner
“Went for a Christmas Lunch today. There was 19 of us, we had pre booked and everything from booking to food/drink/service today was 5 *. The staff were great and really adaptable to the needs of our group. Thank you so much for making our group Christmas lunch a success”
The Mitre
“A fine traditional pub with an excellent range of real ales and cider. Cosy atmosphere, proper fire and friendly dog. Landlord happy to discuss beer choices, aiming for a range of beer styles and from outside London. Worth seeking out - it's hard to find and has limited opening hours.”
The Prince of Greenwich Pub
“Bf told me this is his favourite pub in England. Finally had a chance to visit this place with him and I must say, it's pretty good. Welcoming owner who immediately warm-heartedly greets you with "welcome home" (on the way out of the pub, I notice the sign at the entrance that also reads "welcome home"). Nice atmosphere and great lighting. The eclectic decor is a feast for your eyes. Staff got one of our orders wrong but that's ok, we all make mistakes sometimes. Didn't have to wait long for our actual main to arrive. Hope to visit this place again when they have the live band playing.”
Publiq. South Kensington
“Superb meal tonight at Publiq. Our waiter, Greg, was clearly run off his feet as they were short-staffed, however he was charming, knowledgeable and super efficient. What a gem he is. The food was perfectly balanced and executed. Small dishes of fresh, flavoursome, and well-cooked food with a low-waste farm-to-table ethic. Some really nice flavour combinations and something for everyone. Very pleased to have found this busy little restaurant and will definitely return.”
Wilton's Music Hall
“Excellent venue to see a show. More importantly, a pint of Amstel was a very reasonable £5.20 and a portion of fries £3.50. The seats aren't the comfiest and are pretty small and close together, but it's an old historic building so I'll let them off! From glancing around around the theatre, it didn't seem like any of the seats sold as restricted view online would be that bad at all.”
Batty Langley's Hotel
“Myself and my partner had a belated romantic getaway to this unique hotel and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel itself is stunning inside and like being inside one of the finest Georgian houses of 19th century London. It is sparkling and spotless but also beautifully warm and cosy too. We were made to feel so at home and welcome. We arrived early and the lovely staff on reception took our bags and gave us a choice of 3 luxurious lounges to choose from while our room was finished. We had a delightful private lounge area next to our bedroom (Odabiah Shuttleworth was the quirky room name). ALL of the staff seem genuinely happy and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We ate out for lunch and just had M&S nibbles in our room for the evening and although there’s no restaurant the room service menu looked lovely. The (hot) breakfast tray in our room the next morning (can also have in one of the lounges) had such attention to detail and was another, of the many highlights. An experience to remember and we’re now thinking of checking out the other hotels by the same group.”
Hazlitt's
“Truly a step back in time. The Junior suite was large and appointed with antique furniture and paintings, and a very comfortable bed. The whole place gives the sense of living in an English country House in a quiet spot in Soho, just a half block away from all the action.”
Spaccanapoli - Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
“Was around the neighborhood and decided to give this a try. It didn’t disappoint us. The pizza dough was good, not too salty nor bland. The cheese was really good too. Ordered the white based pizza with dry aged beef, one of the nicest pizza I’ve tried so far. Just sad it’s far from where I’m staying or else I’ll definitely revisit.”
The Provincial
“Incredible food. Had the bistec a la pobre - the meat was really well cooked and the sauce was delicious. Really nice rice too Service was great, really friendly and welcoming. Had some nice chats about Colombia (the owner was from Cali) Will definitely be going back”
Maison François
“Impeccable service, super friendly service staff who tried to make friends with my baby. Food is delicious with an amazing touch on the dessert. Ambiance is also relaxing. Love the deco, contemporary and classic at the same time! Love my overall dining experience there for the Mother’s Day celebration! Will definitely go back for another time!”
Porte Noire Kings Cross
“Fantastic place and the perfect way to spend a few hours with a bottle or 2 of fine wine. Excellent service from the servers who know their wines. Great selection of small dishes to accompany the wine. Very relaxing vibe and atmosphere to the place. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. One word to sum Porte Noire "Perfect"”
Turnbull & Asser Jermyn Street
“The best mens shop in London has been going for many years excellent shirts ties sweaters suits velvet jkts !!! If its good for 007 it's good for anyone !”
Electric Cinema
“This cinema is really with special charm! Every corner is full of vintage vibe (even the restaurant beside it and the bathroom). It is really enjoyable experience to watch movies here. Highly recommended!”
The Feathers
“Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. The menu has been recently updated with a lot of great options - I particularly recommend the roast on Sundays too!”
The Masons Arms
“The absolute antidote to chain pubs. It should win an award for packing eons of nostalgia into a small, brilliant eclectic space. Quirky. Tiny. Lovely. The local you wish you had.”
Thames Side Brewery
“Geat venue with wide selection of food and beers. Comfortable surroundings great to relax and soak up the atmosphere especially on a music night. Must visit !!”
Two Brewers
“Must be the last independent one in the area with a pint of Guinness under a fiver!”
The Green Goddess
“Lovely little beer boutique. We popped in on a whim and really enjoyed it. Was nice and chilled and decently priced too. Will be going back.”
The Tommy Flowers, Aberfeldy
“Friendly staff and good variety of drinks. Welcoming dogs on the back garden.”
