Hampton Inn & Suites Orlando-South Lake Buena Vista

"My boyfriend and I checked in to begin our two day stay while visiting Disney. They say there is a shuttle system but do not mention that it doesn’t go to two of the main parks (magic kingdom and animal kingdom). The shuttle is also not free and is 5 dollars a person and only has two times a day that it goes to the destination. The room was very outdated and dirty. There was hair on the sheets, toilet, stains everywhere and just run down. We asked if we could move to another room and the other room was even worse. We decided to check out after being there an hour and were told we could not be refunded for that night because we didn’t give 24 hour notice. Do not recommend."

"This is the grossest Hampton ever stayed in. If we didn't get in late & plan to already leave early the next day we would have bounced. Called ahead and they said they had an airport shuttle - nope not the case. The staff was rude about it to boot when we tried to confirm at arrival. The carpet is worn and has seams coming up and showing thread, paint chipping off the walls in the hallway and the wallpaper is peeling. The rooms smell of mildew. The beds sink in and creek. I honestly think Motel 6 does a better job. Hilton - you should be ashamed of this property."

"The hotel is a bit dated but there is nothing to complain about otherwise. Our room was large on the top floor. There were other families with kids on the same floor but it was quiet. There was complimentary hot breakfast which was convenient. They have a snack bar behind the concierge which is convenient as we used it for satisfying sugar cravings after dinner. All interactions with staff were pleasant and felt welcoming. We did not use the pool. Parking was free and ample. In all great value for money."

"We were quite disappointed with the condition of the rooms. They were rundown with evident rusty and wet spots, particularly in the bathroom. The bed sheets were so old, there were see through spots, and there was an unpleasant odor in the rooms. The sole redeeming feature was the breakfast area, which appeared to be recently remodeled and was visually pleasing."

"It's not the worst, but not the best Hampton Inn either. My friends and I booked two rooms months in advance for our daughter's joint birthday celebration. We knew that with it being a holiday weekend, it would be a tad crazy. We went to check in Saturday night, and at first, the lady checking us in made it sound like they had given our rooms away. She then said she had the one room available, but we had to wait on the suite with the fold out couch. That's not the problem, though. I'm fine with waiting. We planned on going to dinner anyway, so they had time to get it ready. The issue was that they didn't communicate with us ahead of time to advise of any issues with our reservation, and then they were short on supplies. When my group got to our room, we checked the closet for extra blankets and found none. The person sleeping on the pullout tried to obtain blankets, but all they had for her was a fitted sheet. We had to ration pillows and blankets between 3 adults and 2 kids. They were also short on wash cloths, so I shared with both my kids. My advice is to just be prepared and maybe pack some supplies if you plan on staying here. It's not exactly worth the almost $200 spent for the one night's stay."
