“Me and a few friends were having some drinks and we came across Stein Strasse. We noticed that the venue was very lively and everyone was enjoying themselves. The drinks were great and we all had an amazing time, there’s not many places that will let you dance on the benches! It’s been a long time since we’ve all let our hair down like we did at Stein! “Well you're not going to come here for the views, but there are a reasonable range of beers. The food menu isn't huge, but it's done well enough, and unlike some places you don't have to work through the list of missing ingredients to find your dinner. Enjoyable quiz on Wednesday too!”

“Came her with My daughter who is Vegan for some food. Although there is only one vegan option on the main menu, my daughter could not praise it enough. I had two small plates, pulled pork tacos were out of this world. Honey glaze buffalo chicken wings were cool to perfection with two fantastic dips. The staff were first class. Efficient, polite and nothing is too much trouble. I can not recommend this place enough.”

“The seating is well spaced out and the staff cleaned the tables between customers. The service was excellent even though the staff were busy. The food exceeded our expectations, in freshness, taste and quality. My husband and I would definitely recommend the sandwiches, tuna and cucumber and the ham, cheese and pickle. The floater coffee was lovely and apparently the lager was the best my husband had tasted in a long time! We hope to go again soon to try the hot food and dessert menu.”

“After redecorated, we almost visited here every Friday after work. The place is big and very traditional and beautiful, with a large bar area. The food, drink and wine is good and cheaper than other pubs and restaurants. Besides, various age group will be here, unlike others just either of the older or the youth. In additional, many families will come to here to get their breakfast as the breakfast menu has much varieties. In summary, it may be the best place in Derby to have a gathering, especially need a big big Venus with many many people joining.”

“Came on Christmas Day 2022 was hands down the most relaxed atmosphere for a big pub. Service was very polite throughout the whole time we were there, and overall a lovely experience. The play area outside was a nice touch however needs updating, but kept the children entertained and safe as its behind a locked gate no access to the car park or significant dangers.”

One staff member in particular he has classes, slim and fairly tall gave my boy a ball to play with as he got a bit bored. Very kind of him. “Decent food bar staff on point. Team leader of the staff was mint crack willing to engage in conversation unlike some spoons. Bar manager was chatty but busy. Nice food good atmosphere. Charles is a local don't be put off with his dementia absolutely lovely bloke. Would pop in again.”

“We came here on a sat & 6 of us ate food. All plates were completely empty. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. All the food came out after about 20mins of ordering it. We ordered everything on the app at the table which was nice & easy. All in all it was decent meals hassle free. I will more than likely be going back here again in the near future.”

“Great restaurant, loads of separate areas with seating spaced out. Food was gorgeous, ate waay to much but can't fault anything. Would definitely recommend the steak dish below, 4oz of rump, Sirloin and fillet”
