"I want to start by saying Thank You to Terrazas for being so welcoming to me during one of the hardest times in my life. I have had no problems here and because of the great management, I don't anticipate to. This is a nice apartment complex with character in a nice albuquerque neighborhood. Next I want to send out two special Thank Yous to Fo, the great assistant manager who I first made contact with on the telephone. He was and still is very accommodating and helpful and a great asset. And lastly, to Kayla who was so compassionate and helpful to my situation. She went above and beyond for me just as I am guessing she is still doing the same for all."
"I really enjoyed the Villas de la Terraza Apartments. The property and units are great for the price. I really liked the location. Everything I could ever need was within 5 minutes, and it's also right next to the I-25. There are a lot of good people living there. The manager, and office staff were great to deal with."
"BEWARE!!! SLUMS OF NE ALBUQUERQUE. My score for Villas de la Terribles is -10! Believe me you do NOT want to move here. It’s been nothing but stress since day one!! Management is the worst I’ve EVER dealt with and management and office staff treat tenants horribly. They do NOT communicate with their tenants. Word has it management has a tenant, not an employee, post eviction notices on people’s doors!!! If you question the office staff or disagree with them, they get very defensive and TRY to make you feel dumb. Sorry, that didn’t work on me!! I would be embarrassed to work here. I’ve had SO many problems since moving in and all they do is put bandaids. The maintenance work has been very sloppy. I’ve NEVER lived in such filth. If you say you do not want anyone to enter your apt without your presence, they’ll still enter, even though it’s not an emergency. A lot of the grounds look like a dump with wires, cables sticking out and utility (?) boxes knocked over. This place is a dump!! Take pictures and/or videos of any damages done to the apartment you move into. If you don’t, they’ll blame you and take it out of your security deposit. Be prepared to pay additional monthly utility charges, even though you are already paying utilities. If you decide to move here after reading all the horrible reviews, make sure to view YOUR apt BEFORE you sign your lease. If you don’t, they’ll move you into something you didn’t sign up for and you won’t be happy. I was moved into a dump; nothing like what was shown me on the tour. If the Villas De La Terraza (Owner) posts a response to this review with an “I’m sorry blah blah blah…” haha I will laugh. There are way too many bad reviews for you to say you’re sorry. If you were really sorry you would treat your tenants better. Fashion tip for manager: Lose the boots and dress professionally!"
"The final edit - please read! First - I implore you, do not move you or your family into this apartment complex. Why? At first, I thought the management was impolite or didn't care about the tenants. Now, I honestly think they are drowning and just don't have the money or capacity to run the complex. Our AC and heater were broken for all of the almost 4 years we lived there (but we still had to pay them for electric and gas AND pay for our own electric and gas) It took the management company almost a YEAR to order a new door for the laundry room closest to my apartment. The door had been broken for a year already - my panties were stolen, many homeless people lived in the laundry room, the windows were broken, and the space trashed... so management locked the laundry room for a YEAR until they had a new door. (Huge red flag, or what?) We had to spray our own house for bugs (they claim to have a bug man and charge you money each month for that bug man... but I never saw the guy... in 4 years). A mouse died in our walls, and one of the managers at the time tried to tell me the smell was my cat... but it was dead animal in our walls! (Thank goodness I was persistent). The final straw? It rained, and our apartment flooded. Not a few drops here and there... I would say 100 gallons of water came out of our ceiling that night. It poured from the ceilings, soaked the walls and carpet, and warped the doors. Mold was growing within a week of the flood, the whole apartment reeked of moldy water smells. What did management do? Dried the carpet and patched the holes in the ceiling. That was it... They are not accounting for the smell. They are not considering mold spores that are already growing in the walls and roof and carpet. They feel they have done "enough" to help us. We do not feel the same. Our health is on the line, and the water spots that continue to grow on the ceiling are, clearly, indicative of another flood. (And what I heard is that over 50 apartments had leaks that day... some more serious than others). We had to terminate- they did make us pay for the termination. Choose wisely and good luck on your apartment search."
