"Don't stay here. High crime! My car was broken into twice. There are no cameras in the parking lot. The signs do say park at your own risk. Employees park their cars up front while customers have to park in an unsafe parking lot. I took a picture of employees car upfront. I can't blame them. I would not like my car broken into as well. I was told that I could not park my car upfront as it's a fire hazard. As you can see in the picture that lots of cars are parked here. No fire zone is visible."
"Stayed here a few times, rooms are great but customer service is non-existent. I was charged twice for an advanced purchase hotel reservation through the Hilton Honors non-refundable room rate. Upon check out, Tru by Hilton charged my card a second time even though the room was pre-purchased through the official Hilton website. I attempted to call the hotel to speak directly to the staff to resolve the charge however the first few times I called there was no answer, finally a staff member said their general manager would contact me back about the issue the following day however I have not received a call back since. Customer Service via the Hilton website is also no help because they also do not follow up on your submitted requests. It's been almost a month of me attempting to contact both the hotel and the Hilton customer service, with no resolve to my double charge for a one night stay."
"We really enjoy our stays at Tru and try to make sure there’s one everywhere we travel, but this particular one didn’t seem to follow the same standard the other ones do. We opened our hotel door to a cockroach. It was clear that the showers weren’t clean and the shower head was mostly a sprinkle at best. Our curtains in the room didn’t shut all the way so it was hard to sleep as the parking light was right outside our window. Somehow, there was an alarm set for 5am that went off on the bedside clock and I thought I had turned it off the first, second, and third times, but finally had to unplug the clock. The bagels were stale and the breakfast wasn’t much better than any other hotel. For the extra money we paid, it didn’t feel worth it. Hoping to have a better experience at the next Tru."
"First time at a Tru by Hilton. Very minimalist but very comfortable beds, quiet and great price for breakfast, gym and pool included. Staff was incredible and offered us a coupon for the adjacent Outback which we used. Loved how quiet considering the hotel is right next to I25."
"Summary: There are better places to stay and at better values. Overall, better for singles and couples. Was not a favorite of our family of 5. Pros: -Room had a great view of the hot air balloons that fly in the morning and evening in Albuquerque. -Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. -Soap dispensers in the bathrooms are great for families who need LOTS of product (more than a tiny travel size). -We stayed for free through Hilton points rewards, and I recommend others to use hotel rewards programs. Cons: -Blankets on beds are thin, and the duvet cover does NOT stay on the insert at all. Mattresses were quite firm (not the best, but the worst I suppose). -Breakfast was standard hotel fare and had potential, but staff did not keep up with the high demand on products, so stuff was picked over and gone. -No microwave in our room (couldn't warm up our own breakfast). -Ice maker and water dispenser broke, which is not necessarily their fault, but for a hotel of this size (4 floors), they should have ice makers on EVERY floor (if they did, we couldn't find them). When they worked, they were great. -No suites and no roll aways. They do have adjoining rooms, but that of course costs twice as much, and a roll away bed could solve the problem for a small child in a more cost-effective way."
