"The Kalalau Lookout can be reached by car after a one hour drive from the coast. The paved road is twisty and turny, but nothing too bad. The lookout overlooks an amazing view of the coastline. It rains alot here, even when it is sunny elsewhere on the island. When the sun catches the water vapor in the clouds you can witness some amazing rainbows like the attached photo that I took."
"It is journey to get up to the lookout but with many other lookouts along the way, you get to see so much beautiful scenery! Once at the top, It’s honestly, indescribable. The beauty and views are the most amazing thing. We even could see whales out in the ocean!!"
"My favorite lookout in Kauai - not to be missed. No matter if you’ve done a helicopter tour(which I highly recommend) or a scenic boat ride - getting another perspective of the Nā Pali Coast never gets old. Super short walk from the parking lot to the outlook. The temp drops about 15 degrees or so up there - highly recommend taking a light jacket! Oh and there are bathrooms up there, which is a huge positive after the drive up there. Many other lookouts to stop at as well."
"A once-in-a-lifetime view. This was our favorite lookout of our entire trip to Hawaii. The landscape is breathtaking and untouched. It is a perfect place for photos with a stunning background. Took about 45 minutes to drive to the point and was worth every second. I wish we would have planned and prepared for the long hike that goes past the lookout"
"Great scenic drive to the lookout. Many stops along the way so take your time. Temps were about 15 degrees cooler at the lookout so keep that in mind."
