"BEDBUGS!! We had one of the worst experiences at the Sealodge in unit (F6). We started out with hair in our bed the first night we arrived. We attempted to contact the rental company during their after hours on the emergency number they provided and the phone went straight to voicemail each time. We then contacted them the following morning to address that we had put the sheets in the washer and it was not a problem at all. We understand that things happen and it must have been an accident. We then advised the staff during the same phone call that we noticed a wasps nest right outside of our bedroom window. We again advised that it was not an issue and they were not bothering us. We only wished to inform them in case it was a safety hazard on their end. After staying at the condo for 2 nights, we continued to wake up each morning to bug bites. We didn't realize until later that evening that we were sleeping with bed bugs. We pulled off the sheets and found hairs on the mattress and a couple bed bugs crawling back into the mattress. We attempted to again contact the after hours emergency number that was provided and again it went straight to voicemail. We decided to try sleeping on the pull-out mattress in the living room and found more bed bugs. I managed to grab a video of one and a picture of another that you will see down below. We contacted the site manager (the only helpful person through this whole process) and he provided us with Steve's number. The site manager has been wonderful and even came out to help us open our door when we first arrived because we struggled to get in (we just need to give it an extra push) and the emergency line went straight to voicemail that day as well. The site manager has addressed every one of our issues in a timely manner and has guided us through this entire journey. We understand he is not technically affiliated with Kauai Pacific, but he still provided us with his services regardless. After 3 hours of attempting to reach Kauai pacific, we then contacted Steve and he moved us to G9. He repeatedly stated that "there's no such thing as bed bugs in Hawaii" and " I'm not saying I'm doubting you, but bed bugs in Hawaii are unheard of". We slept in G9 for the night and waited the following morning for a phone call on how they were going to proceed. After contacting Steve repeatedly, he referred us to Kau'i who then advised our room was fumigated and ready to go. I politely asked for an inspection form from the professional that performed the fumigation and was then advised that the room was bug bombed and not properly fumigated. I nicely asked Kau'i to move us to another condo because I have 67 bug bites and I feel uncomfortable going back in there until it is properly fumigated. She transferred me back to Steve and he immediately told us that the room was fine and that we need to leave G9 and go back to our room. I again asked nicely for another room or a refund so we could take our business elsewhere. He became aggravated and stated he would provide us with a refund for the 2 unused nights after we left. I asked him for a written statement stating he would provide the refund and he continued to repeat "my staff will email you". I again asked for the written statement prior to us leaving so I could guarantee we would get our money back. He eventually sent us an email but also threatened the police to evict us if we didn't leave in an hour and proceeded to hang up the phone on me. We have been staying at the sealodge for years. We love it at the sealodge and Kauai Pacific has now lost a ton of business from us. Not only that but it was my first vacation I've ever had and it was supposed to be celebratory because my boyfriend and I got engaged. Terrible experience and I wouldn't wish this experience on ANYONE! Extremely rude and unprofessional."

"I write this review as a warning to anyone who might be considering doing business with Kauai Pacific Real Estate. We rented unit 8233/8234 at Hanalei Bay Resort managed by Kauai Pacific Real Estate this summer and were extremely disappointed in our unit and how we were treated. Our unit had a broken air conditioner, broken floor tiles, broken shower, mold, cockroaches, etc. Additionally, there were some safety issues like hot electrical switches, which made us take notice of a lack of fire alarms and extinguishers. We paid for and spent 2 weeks in this unit because there was no option for us to move to another unit or find a different rental on short notice. Kauai Pacific Real Estate did nothing to help us during our stay and ultimately seemed dismissive of our concerns. This company took payment for a unit they knew was in disrepair, then acted like they would get it fixed for us, in the end they did absolutely nothing. I have to wonder how many other unsuspecting guests they have treated this way. Kauai is a busy place in July, it's not like we had the option to get another room, move to another resort, or come back another time. We wasted too much of our hard earned vacation time trying to figure things out with this company only to be ignored in the end. Kauai Pacific Real Estate is a predatory rental agency that couldn't care less about your experience once they have your money. They did not care we were uncomfortable, they did not care that we were not receiving the services we paid for. My family spent years of planning and a lot of money on this vacation and unfortunately our time was horribly impacted by the fact that we didn't have a comfortable place to call home and get rest. If you are considering a place to stay or a management company for your property, please take your business elsewhere!"

"We as buyers went to Steve to represent us while we were looking for homes. He was more than happy to help us, even though our budget was limited. (I say this because I have had agents tell me NO because I was below their price range). He was very good about maintaining contact throughout the entire home buying process. He also is a strong realtor, know the laws and will not be allow the sellers agent to push you around. He dealt with a lot of drama during our sale and handled everything that came at him. I would definitely recommend this company and specifically Steve. A true professional all around. We are now in a house that was at our price point and perfect for a starter property. Huge MAHALO for all of your hard work!!"
