"This was such a fun hike! It is about 4 miles up and back. The path was dry when we went, but we were told it can be quite slippery when it’s wet. The views from the top are incredible!"
"There’s two areas of the hike that have you climbing up some rocks, but the view at the top is worth it."
"The hike I embarked on was supposed to be a 3-mile adventure, but it turned out to be a 5-mile trek, different from other trails. The muddy terrain added an unexpected challenge and made it somewhat challenging. The trail could be slippery on the way down, which was a bit of a drawback. However, the view from the top was absolutely breathtaking, making the effort worthwhile. Although the ascent and descent were not as enjoyable, the picturesque vistas at the summit made this hike a truly memorable experience."
"Moderate hike/trail. We did 4.23 miles in 2.75 hours. It says 3.2 round trip but it was a little longer. Most of it is easy but there are a few areas that require climbing/scrambling up rocks. Do not wear flip flops or sandals. The views of the coast are spectacular, though not quite as stunning as the Waimea canyon. Has quite a few shaded sections so pretty good for a hot/sunny day. FYI - the pine trees are on the west trail if you’re looking for the Insta-worthy shot. Also, if you’re googling it a lot of photos come up of Sleeping Giant in Ontario - definitely thought I’d be seeing the two massive cliffs. Whether you take East or West, they meet at the same place. If you’ve done the 3.6 mi Canyon Trail that ends at Waipoo Falls, you can definitely do this. Hiking poles optional (I did not use)."
"Wow. We did this with 6 boys ages 9-17 and it was amazing. Yes, it was slippery and yes, there are some places that make your legs shake and caution is necessary, but all safe when done with caution and so worth the effort for those views. This was the favorite part of our trip for most of us. I have done a lot of hiking with a baby on my back, not sure I would have been that adventurous to take that on, or with a toddler."
