"It's worth checking out if you are in the area. It's probably not worth a drive to here unless you are stopping at all the viewpoints on the north side. It's right near all the resorts and a short walk for a good view. I'm sure it gets crowded on nice days. We went on a colder, windy day, and it was busy with a steady stream of traffic. There's not much to do once you are there besides watch the surf come in."
"Highly recommended if you’re in the area. A short (barely) 1/4 mile walk to the rocky area, where there are awesome views and a labyrinth to explore. A great place to visit when the surf is high, as you can safely watch the powerful waves crash around you (just stay on dry rock and don’t go near the edge!)."
"There is no signage for the trail so don't bother looking for it. Instead, look for the sign which says "Public Beach Access No overnight parking" and that is the head of the trail. It's a pretty walk down to the dragon's teeth, but the sight of the rugged rocks and the interesting set of "teeth" is most beautiful and so worth the little effort."
"Edit, 2nd attempt: We visited on a sunny morning with minimal rain clouds. It had rained overnight, but the path wasn't difficult to walk on. This access trail is a slight detour from the larger Kapalua Coast Trail. Would still recommend sturdier shoes, but plenty of folks were in sandals. Original: Unfortunately, we visited on a very foggy and rainy morning after multiple heavy showers. The trail from the small parking lot (maybe 10 spots) down to the start of the rocks was getting really muddy. Shoes with treads are recommended. The dirt trail is about 5-7 min of a steady pace downhill, until it meets the bottom of the golf course. We only made it briefly to the beginning of the rocky area when a downpour hit. We will have to try again another time!"
"Very fun and beautiful trail, with cool rock formations. On the day we hiked on the trail, it was blistering hot, and there were many tiny insects, so make sure to put on sunscreen and check your face for bugs before coming back onto the car. We even saw a sea turtle swimming in the tides!"
