The Mauian Hotel 5441 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Lahaina, HI 96761

"The Mauian is a great old Hawaii experience. It's a quiet spot that doesn't have all the amenities of the bigger resorts, but also comes with a lower price tag and a killer location. The rooms are definitely dated, no TV or tech to speak of, but that's a personal preference item. The sound proofing on the rooms is pretty terrible. We could hear the people in the room coughing through out the night and it sounded like they were in the room with us. Same thing with kids playing outside during the day ect. We were also bummed to find out the provided breakfast we'd had on our previous stay had been reduced to just a pot of coffee and hot water for tea. Overall the Mauian is a fine little hotel, but know what you're getting."

"The rooms are lovely and charming, the resort felt very safe. But the real headline here, to me, is the pillows were phenomenal. Hotel pillows are almost always too soft for me but this place offered both a soft and a firm option. Sometimes it’s the little things!"

"We loved our stay at The Mauian! The rooms were clean and we got fresh towels daily! Each room had a porch/patio and it was right on the beach! A very relaxing and quiet place to enjoy your stay! Only things to note: the office had limited hours, and the ice and laundry gets locked up at night. The rooms were also not very sound proof. We brought a fan, so it worked for us, but we could hear the people outside when the room was quiet."

"Unassuming yet beautiful. Quiet and accommodating. Laidback but lovely. Right on the ocean. Beautiful landscape. Not much tech available so bring your own. The lanai of your suite is plenty entertaining. Prepare to cook or eat out daily."

"I can't speak to the rooms themselves, but I wanted to leave them a good review based on service + exterior as my spouse and I were intending to stay there for our trip, but due to unfortunate emergency, had to cancel our trip at the last moment. They were understanding/accommodating, and we got our deposit back. We've stayed at places around there before though, and always wanted to try it as the hotel and area are gorgeous, with short access to the beach. Will definitely book them again on our next trip to Maui!"
