"Since moving here, the staff have been wonderful. The property is beautiful. I feel safe and secure. Lots of places to go in and out of since the light rail is nearby. Truly blessed"
"I lived here for 4 years and overall it’s a great place to live Pros: - Service requests are handled quickly and usually fixed the first time and if not they come back - Safe - they have a security guard nights and weekends - Convenient for buses and light rail since it’s right on the property - Great neighborhood - close to lakes, parks, Minnehaha falls, and trails - Great neighbors - I made some great friends here :) - Manager is nice and good too - the one who is manager as of this review - overall willing to work with you if you have issues - Amenities are great - Theater room, community car that can be rented for just the price of gas, fitness center, community room and patio area that can be rented for events, Luxer System for package delivery, underground parking (if you can get in, there’s usually a waitlist) - It’s pretty quiet there - I hardly ever heard anything from my next door neighbors nor those above me (I know others have left a review that you can hear everything….I don’t know where they got that, because I’ve never had an issue, see below for my one exception to this) Cons: - A fellow resident’s apartment was flooded and I don’t think they handled it well as they could’ve - Limited parking in the parking lot - and some spots are taken from Venn customers that don’t read that it’s permit parking only - I was originally told that utilities are just my apartment - but they are actually split (gas, water, and sewer) between all units depending on square footage. This is a minus regardless…but especially when you move out - when I hadn’t lived in the apartment for a month, I was still responsible for utilities which came out of my security deposit. So despite not living in the apartment, I still had a bill since it was split between all units - Speaking of noise - complaints about a very loud barking dog never appeared to be taken seriously and that was really frustrating - If you break your lease early, you have to pay for it. Not only do you give 60 days notice and have to pay for that 60 days - that part I understand. But you also have to pay an additional 2 months of rent as a penalty. A company like this is big enough that they don’t need my money for an extra 2 months. That’s 4 months of rent, which is a lot and ridiculous in my opinion. Life happens and sometimes people need to leave earlier than expected (my lease was up in December and I couldn’t wait that long and when it was coming due the previous December, I wasn’t thinking I’d move anytime soon). This is the main reason it lost 2 stars (I would’ve given 3.5 stars, that wasn’t an option). I wanted to try to email the owner, so I hope he reads this"
"We really appreciate this location. We are able to quickly get on buses or Light Rail. The apartments are well managed and kept clean. Staff has been friendly and very responsive when service requests are submitted. Love the amenities like the gym and community room. Enjoy meeting there with other residents. Thank you for having electric chargers for EV's!"
"The place is mostly great, the parking is a nightmare! Limited lot space which is usually taken (in spite of warning signs) by the Venn Brewing patrons, who apparently can't read. Have been on a waiting list for a full time garage space since 8/18, its now almost March 2019. Only 2 people with garage parking have moved out in that time. Seriously reconsider unless you don't have a car. Signs everywhere, no one has ever been towed. Recent changes to amenity policies allow community room and theater room reservations for the entire day (12-9 pm). The community room is the only access to the patio and grills. Who needs a room for 9 hours!? And the cops came this past weekend after another lengthy community room reservation. NO BUENO. Clientele has degraded. IDK what is happening."
