"I rented here for almost 2 years while going to the UMN 2020-2022. Absolute nightmare of a so-called landlord. Mike Hoag is insolent, negligent, and abrasive. He completely fails to fulfill his duties as a property owner. There is no maintenance at University Court Apartments, therefore; if there is an emergency e.g. a fire or a flood, you will not get a response. Some of the issues I ran into while living here: lack of air conditioning as advertised, sewage stench in communal halls and unit bathroom, mold growing on walls and windows, cockroaches in bathroom, wasps nests forming inside the walls, etc. Mike Hoag refused to contact an exterminator when notified of the wasps nest. Instead he filled the nest entrance with insulation foam causing the wasps to swarm inside of my unit. His response to the report of consistent mold growth was to open the windows, this happened midwinter with windchills well below zero. Mike Hoag should not be allowed to manage a property, let alone own a property."

"The stay at the apartments was fine. I had no major complaints while I stayed there."
