The Chambers Hotel 901 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403

"Sleep quality effected due to thinking I was turning on the A/C... switched it to "cool" and still was running the heater ALL NIGHT. woke up to 80+ degrees in my room... turned it completely off... cracked windows and salvaged another hour of sleep maybe. Told the staff about it, was not asked room number/name anything... "it's an older hotel... if it's unbearable, we can move you rooms..." No offer of refund / credit / checking on it... nothing... just "well, it is what it is""

"Huge rooms, beds are comfy, and the shower is amazing. Crave restaurant and a cute bar are across the street. Parking in the ramp is cheaper than most other downtown hotel parking prices. The ramp is next to but not connected to the hotel. The courtyard looks like it would be fun in warmer weather."

"Sad and poor. I booked my stay at the Chambers Hotel based on average review scores. This does not paint an accurate picture. It is basically empty with virtually no service. Is it closing soon? The attached breakfast area/restaurant is empty/dark with lights turned off. Grab and go items are poor with no brewed coffee, only a Keurig available for coffee. This is definitely not upscale. Plus the place is basically deserted, which gives a somewhat eerie vibe. Also, unhoused individuals are milling around outside the hotel in the morning and come and go from the grab and go breakfast area. The rooms and hallways are clean and decorated nicely, but the bed and bedding were poor and the room temperature and the hallway temperatures were ridiculous. The hallway thermostat was set to 68F but read 85F- super hot! The rooms likewise did not have adequate temperature control- one room was hot and one room was warm, regardless of thermostat settings. Note: the first room was so hot we asked to be moved. The second room was better but still, no control and warm. The TV in both rooms was laughable. The Guide button on the remote did not work in either room. We asked for a digital or paper version of the channel lineup and were told it does not exist. We were told there were 62 channels in basic cable. It literally took 5 seconds to change from one channel to the next. We ended up just staying on one station since it was so frustrating to look for anything else. The shower and water pressure were good, but the bathroom had only one hook, occupied by a hotel bathrobe, and no other places to hang towels or clothes. Overall, can’t recommend."
