"I had a scheduled showing and showed up 30 minutes before showing time. Front desk staff noticed the young lady that would be doing my showing. She had an attitude that I was earlier and told the front desk lady it is not time for her tour. This was my first impression of the staff and I was only there to tour. Whew if I was tenant I could only imagine how they are treated. I cancelled my tour. I guess it's better to know what you are walking into day 1 . So thank you."
"I lived in this complex the last 5 years straight. Like any other complex it has its pros and cons but when you have solid communication with the people at the office like Ms Higgs she gets things done very professional and understanding. She will help you find a place that suits all your needs. I highly recommend you see her if you are looking to stay in Willow Creek. She brightens your day and you will always leave with a good laugh and smile. 4 stars is for the complex but if I could rate the staff I would give her a 5."
"I moved in in February, and i decided to wait and see if living here would become better. I lived here once before and was satisfied with the apartment, but after moving away and moving back I wish I would’ve stayed away. To start, the apartment I was moved into had an infestation of raccoons. The smell was horrible in the apartment. I could also hear the racoons in the wall. They were going to make me stay in the apartment while they attempted to fix the problem, but the issue was how unsafe and unsanitary it was. I couldn’t even cook in the apartment because of how bad the smell was. After going to the office for the 2nd time they allowed me to move apartments. I asked if something could be knocked off my rent or if they could pay for the uhaul as it was a huge inconvenience. I was told by the property manager that, “it was a privilege that they allowed me to move. I should stop complaining before I not be allowed to move units at all”. I also asked for the number to corporate and was told “corporate didn’t care and would tell me I can take my money and move somewhere else”. Considering the fact that I was in the middle of my senior semester of college I couldn’t afford to keep moving, not to mention my car had been stolen so I was attempting to do all of this with little resources. After having the “privilege” of being allowed to move buildings, I quickly found out my new unit doesn’t have adequate air. I’ve been constantly told by maintenance that “they can’t do anything about my apartment being 90 degrees, it is simply because we are fighting the heat”. I’m also supposed to have access to a storage unit but someone has a lock on it and I’ve reported it to the office 3 times and no one has done anything about it. The people in this office doesn’t care about you, and if I had the funds to move and break my lease I would. I wouldn’t recommend living here not at all. The manager definitely needs to be fired. There is no point in complaining because apparently all the complaints stop at him and there is no else we can call that is above him."
"I lived there for two years and we just moved out. at first I loved it (looked nice on the outside and it was my first apartment) but then everything unfolded. We had mold that literally made my walls move, raccoons in the ceiling, the heating and cooling barely worked and sometimes just stopped dead in the middle of winter, the neighbors surrounding were terrible as police were called all the time, as A woman I didn’t feel safe at all to be by myself. I do not recommend at all especially if you’re a single woman. I saw on the “next door app” that a woman got SA in the parking lot going on a walk. There is no security! Also as we moved we discovered our storage room completely flooded and ruined everything. So gross and they didn’t bother fixing it. (The picture below is our storage room)"
"I have lived at willow creek apartments for about 4 years now and they are just ok. When Price Brothers managed the place it was better than it is now. -The security is only there sometimes. Not always. There have been 3 murders in the area this past year. 1 on the property and two on the walking trail directly behind the property. -Ever since the new management took over, the front office no longer takes packages like they used to. That has caused issues for me. On 3 separate occasions my packages have been either opened or flat out stolen. -In my building on my floor there is someone who smokes weed on a regular basis and the smell spreads all over the hallway and gets into my unit. Not a fan. -Management seems to be rather slow and disorganized when it comes to documentation and paper trails. Have not had anyone be rude to me however. If they turn off the water for maintenance we are never notified first. It would be nice to know that ahead of time. -The pool and gym have very limited hours and they are very particular about tenants bringing in guests. They gave us a cheap plastic wristband that serves as our entrance into the club house to use the facilities there. Just don't lose it because they will charge you $50 to replace if you do. - In my experience, maintenance has come to fix things in a decent amount of time. However they do charge you extra to change out the light bulbs in the bathroom/kitchen. (I'm talking fixtures in their apartments not my own lamps and things like that) Such as those really long industrial looking fluorescent bulbs that are used in the kitchen. The light fixture in my kitchen doesn't work the best. The lights flicker a lot even through the bulbs have been changed various times. Probably electrical issues. Also several plugs in the walls have not ever worked since I moved in. -The buildings don't get cleaned as much as they used to. If there is any kind of mess in the stairwell or garage or hallway it will be weeks or even months before it gets cleaned up. - The pipes are very old and when you turn on the hot water you can hear the pipes rattle and shake and they also make odd loud noises at times. It also takes a very long time to get warm water running in my bathroom sink. 3+ minutes of waiting just to get warm water. -There is a small laundry facility (2 washers 2 dryers) on each floor which is nice. Only thing is that the machines often need servicing because they stop working. Many many times I've come to grab my clothes expecting them to be dry and they are still damp. Its $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry. At times I wish they had a change machine in the laundry room. Would beat having to go to the bank to get quarters all the time. - An issue in my building that used to happen a lot was that the fire alarm would go off several times a year and the fire dept would show up but there was never any fire. It hasn't happened at all this year. Another issue was that the power would go out on random days/times during the day or night for a few hours at a time. Not sure what that was about. That hasn't happened at all this year either. So that's good. - There have been bug issues in the past but they have always been resolved quickly. I rarely see bugs in my apartment. -The appliances are very old (they look like they're from the 80's or older) but they still work ok. Could use an update - It is generally a fairly quite community. Everyone keeps to themselves for the most part. However I have noticed more noise than there used to be but it's not at an outrageous level. The walls are pretty thin but that's usually how apartments are. - Its very close to 435 which makes for a quick commute. Also it has google fiber which I love. -So yeah. Solid 'OK' for willow creek apartments."
