"One of the strangest hotel rooms we've ever stayed at. First we were sent to a room that appeared to be occupied. The next room assigned to us had the bed sideways to the TV. There were no toiletries and no cups for water in the bathroom, only 2 Styrofoam coffee cups. Pool was closed and we had to pay to park. We've previously stayed at a different Sonesta and encountered none of these issues."

"No coffee, no breakfast, tvs didn't work, manager and staff all hanging around front desk laughing telling us no nothing works. This place used to be stellar when Marriott owned it. Sonesta is a mess..... no one cared if you were happy or unsatisfied. STAY AWAY!"

"I called for 3-4 weeks prior to reserve a room for a wedding, they had to refer me to a manager ,I tried to just get a room but passed on but no answer and no call back. Finally I got a call but didn’t make connections for a week, of course no rooms available and price went up from 119 to 299. I would avoid making reservations!! Management and help issues Good luck."

"Was given a key to a room where people were already staying in (at 1 am), front desk person reassigned me a room. The room was damp, and the placement of the TV was very odd. I was staying the night before an early flight the next morning. I was told I would have to pay for each night I left my car, which was not specified ANYWHERE on the booking website or the hotel website. The man I spoke to said they would disregard the charge to leave my car because of the room mix up. I was very pleased at that. Upon returning to KC airport, I called for a ride from the shuttle to get back to my car. The man argued with me that they wouldn't pick me up because I didn't have a reservation. I explained that I had already stayed at the hotel and was returning home. He said they are unable to come get me. After I explained the bad experience from the initial visit, he said he would send the shuttle. He then asked if I was coming in to settle the bill for parking. I told him there was nowhere online that said guests had to pay to leave their car. Actually, the website said FREE PARKING and Airport Shuttle Service. The shuttle driver said they are under new management, I suggest they get it together. Will not be staying here again."

"The man at the front was helpful but not very open to giving any additional information- food recommendations, pricing help at the “cafe” or little shop they have. 4 dollars for a soda is ridiculous. Our room was good at first, until we pulled out the bed from the couch, there were no sheets and crumbs all over, and the pillow in the closet was stained and without a case. Hairs in the shower and no microwave."
