"Our initial move in experience was great. Jason showed us the townhome, we fell in love with it, appeared to be in good condition and we signed. The location is amazing for getting anywhere, we got lucky with an end unit with extra windows and the basement is great for storage. The day we moved in, we discovered the closet in the second bedroom was saturated with urine. We let them know. JJulia, the manager, came to look at it and they decided on spray for the saturated wood floor. Natures Miracle for dogs, for a cat urine soaked floor. We tell them it’s not working, fought for bit and then called KBC management directly, as Julia had a nasty attitude about it and I was done. After a nice conversation with the guy above her, the floor was finally fixed about 2.5 months after move in and I asked for a credit for the two months we couldn’t use the room. A bit of arguing but this was resolved fine, and we moved on. Fast forward to about a week and a half ago. We have always low water pressure in the upstairs bathroom. Hot specifically, so I took the aerator off the sink because these places have OLD OLD galvanized steel pipes and there’s sediment sometimes. Well, there was little sediment and the plastic piece inside broke off. Still low pressure. I decided to open the valve down below the sink, but no more pressure and it dripped at the valve. I closed it, then tried to reopen it and there was no hot water. Just rusty stuff from the valve. I put in a request and Julia comes to look at it, decides it really needs a plumber and a plumber comes out. He found that the main water line out of our hot water heater is rusting from the inside out, the evidence can be seen from the outside of the pipe and he said if he were us, he would remove everything of value from the basement. Replacing the hot water valve under the sink did not bring the hot water back upstairs, so the pipe is clogged due to its deterioration. Now, my husband blew up their phone because he had to leave and the plumber was still there. He came back and they were gone, valve was replaced, it spit out rust water and stopped. Nobody told us he couldn’t actually fix it, and they got extremely pissy about the phone calls. Communication is important. She could have sent a text to just let us know but instead, my husband got more attitude from Julia when she finally called back. Later that evening, I figured out our hot water in the shower is almost non-existent and I texted in the morning for an update on what is now a major repair and let her know I was disappointed in not hearing anything, and when can I take a hot shower. Instead of calling me, she calls my husband with attitude about “what is this about no hot water in the shower?” and whatever else she said. No idea, but I finally texted the guy above her head and told him I’m not asking for anything credit wise, but I want an update and he needs to tell Julia to be f’ing nice. I told him there’s a problem when I can tell if I’m talking to Julia vs Jason in writing. I read somewhere how she was so nice to the person who had a tree fall on their house during the storm, but she has some problem with us and I’m over it. He said there are no other open units to shower in and he will talk to her. She then calls me to ask a question about the shower and that someone is coming to look. They found it was the valve for the hot water. They originally were going to have someone come Monday to just replace the valve. Now they are sending multiple plumbers Monday to start fixing everything. I’m sure they are just replacing the bare minimum to make the water run. Just be aware if you rent from here. Julia will be nice to you if you don’t have actual problems with your unit or if a tree falls on your house, but don’t expect great communication from her if it’s something she doesn’t think is important, even if it’s important to you. Jason is actually great, but you end up working with her 95% of the time. The 2 stars for this place is literally the location only. That’s it."
"I absolutely loved this apartment. I’ve lived a lot of places, and this has been my favorite by far. The grounds are well kept, management is very responsive, and I had no issues with move out or getting my security deposit back. The few maintenance requests I had were answered within the hour. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet with a short walk to a park, the max, and a couple of stores and small restaurants. The only thing I could say is that it was easy to hear the neighbors through the walls sometimes, but that just comes with apartment living. I’ll miss this place!"
"We lived in this place for 2 years and we have nothing but great things to say about them! The manager and all the staff they are awesome and they really take care of their residents, they also do great maintenance in their apartments, I will recommend anyone to live here. We only moved because we needed a bigger place. But it’s a really good community."
"This has been my favorite place to live while renting. The staff is responsive and polite, maintenance issues are resolved promptly, and the grounds are cared for every week. This area is great for families, especially those with small children. There are 3 parks in walking distance, not to mention the Max and a Domino's Pizza. Even the move-out experience was good, and I feel the cleaning charges were fair. Continue with great management and minimal rent increases, and you'll have great tenants!"
"I've lived here for a year. What makes this 5-Star for me first of all is the property managers. They are extremely responsive and genuinely great to work with. Best I've ever experienced! Location is great. Max line and multiple parks to take my dog. Bar, Hawaiian, pizza and a mini-mart if you don't want to go far. Downside is that the apartments are out-dated. They've updated appliances, but the kitchens and bathrooms could use some serious updates. The insulation isn't great and the electric wall heaters do use a lot of energy. But all of these make it affordable for the area. The positives all out weighed the negative. Would love to keep living here."
