"It was fine when the price was low, but the last price hike (went up almost $400/mo in 2 years) made the place way too expensive for what its worth. You can always hear neighbors but anyone can file a noise complaint and charge you a $25 fine with no evidence just willy nilly and get threatened with eviction due to multiple noise complaints just because neighbors couldn't understand that babies cry a lot or what have you. The apartment itself was just full of landlord specials, painting over flaws, cheap fixes, the vents for the dryer were so clogged I was convinced we needed a new dryer. Got it to our place and it works just fine. It was fine when the rent was cheap but for "low income" housing the prices are ridiculous. I know rents high everywhere but moved a half hour out of Vancouver, live in better neighborhood, a better apartment, for $380 less a month and it's not even considered low income housing. So I think it's a joke Steeple Chase gets considered "low income housing" especially when some tenants somehow have really nice expensive cars. You can probably find better, but if you're stuck in Vancouver and this is the best you can afford, I hope you have a better experience than we did."
"Lots of storage space, low price, and well maintained property. Tenants can park in any uncovered spot, so if you have a visitor you can let them park in your assigned spot-and there's a load/unload space also! Unfortunately some rules are in place because tenants ruin it for everyone else but if you have lived in other complexes you will see this property is pretty laid back. Pool, laundry room, and holiday events for everyone to join if they want!"
"I've been here for a little over a year, at first the area was questionable but it's actually a nice place. The bedrooms are big, the neighbors are friendly the managers are nice and will work with you if any issues. The place has really picked up since they've gotten new maintenance. He's bringing everything up to par and a very respectful, nice guy."
"I have lived here for over 3 years now. The managers have always been there when I needed something fixed or had complaints about neighbors. They always go above and beyond to try and meet everybody expectations. It’s nice and quiet here and I can’t wait to see what they have planned for the summer. The parking is better now since we have permits. I love how everyone comes together to help out their fellow neighbors."
"I've been living here for about four months now. I've had no issues. The apartment for a 3 bedroom is decent size. My neighbors are for the most part quiet. My kids have made some friends and that's my biggest concern when we moved to a new state. They've added additional parking spaces for guests. I understand why they have assigned parking as there was issues in the past of the tenants not being able to find parking. My kids are looking forward to the pool this summer."
