"Super conveniently located in downtown Astoria, with some amazing restaurants nearby. The staff were easy to communicate with, very helpful and genuine. The rooms are a lovely mix of modern design and historic features, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend and would be more than happy to stay again!"
"We’ve been staying here quite a few years. We’ve tried all the rooms. Decided this last weekend that the king suite is our favorite. So quiet, the bed is amazing. The room with the couch and the chair and the fridge is definitely worth what you pay. And the pricing for the area on a popular weekend is so worth it The bedding is amazing and actually the price in Astoria, especially on the art walk weekend is so reasonable. The staff is so accommodating it’s just a nice chill weekend and We will be back Norblad!!"
"Great location for walking around downtown Astoria. Hipster hotel vibe. Must walk up one floor to the hotel with your luggage. On-street parking nearby pretty easy. Lovely bedding. Cabins have sink in room, individual toilets and showers down the hall. Floors in rooms are a little creaky, doors too--need a squirt of WD40! Too bad they don't have rooms with two queen beds for friends staying together. Still my favorite hotel in Astoria."
"At the recommendation of a friend, we stayed at the Norblad for the first time last year and to be honest - it’s hard to want to stay anywhere else when visiting Astoria. While the lack of elevator could be troublesome, it’s only stairs - the Norblad is as accommodating as possible to their guests. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful seaside view, or sleeping on a budget in one of their “lite” rooms - you can rest assured it’s going to be comfortable, safe, and friendly. There’s a full kitchen if you’re like to cook your own meals, or stash some leftovers in the communal fridge. The shared bathrooms are clean and bright and the shower’s water pressure is actually better than mine at home. The central location might be the best part, it’s right downtown and everything you could possibly want is within walking distance. Every morning there’s hot coffee and fresh tea (for free!) and the staff working the desk are always happy to make suggestions for spots you don’t want to miss in town."
"I LOVED this hotel. A bit like going back in time, yet with a modern feel too. I was very happy there are no T.V's, but they offered the use of an I Pad, which I thought generous. (I'd brought my laptop, but never used it). It was quiet, peaceful, inviting, and even though I'm an early riser, there was a carafe of coffee waiting at the registration desk. It was really good coffee too! Bathrooms very clean, showers great, and it just was a wonderful feeling to stay at a hotel like this. The room I stayed in was a cabin, small, but had everything I needed, plus there was easy access to the very clean communal kitchen. I'll defnintely be staying at The Norblad again."
