"Stayed here for a quilt retreat in the conference room. The motel is fabulous and I love it. This was my second time staying at the motel for a quilt retreat and I love it. The group I went with had so much fun sewing and enjoying the hot tub. The room was nice and clean. I stayed in a suite with a view of the river. The window let in so much natural light. The free breakfast is really good. The waffles were a hit with everyone at the retreat. The motel is not far from the river walk but there is a steep walk up the side street to get to the path."

"This was our second stay at the Astoria Crest Motel. It is a great little motel with phenomenal views--very picturesque. They have an adequate free breakfast with many food items to choose from so that you won't leave hungry. (No hot food items except for the waffles.) It is a great value for what you get and approximately $50/night less than some of the big name hotels in the area. However, with paying less, you also get a bit less. There are no luggage racks in any of the rooms, so you either put your suitcases on the night stand, coffee table, or the floor. They have hair dryers available, but you have to ask for them at the office. (I didn't know this until I checked out.) The walls are somewhat thin and you do hear some of the conversations from neighboring rooms, especially if guests do not consider their "volume". If you have this knowledge before you stay here and come prepared, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay. The staff are wonderful! I highly recommend booking the king suite, which is larger and has a great view of Astoria, the Astoria-Megler Bridge, and all of the ship traffic traversing the Columbia River. The sunset over the Astoria-Megler Bridge is beautiful. (Keep in mind it does rain here a lot.) Yes, I would stay here again, and bring a hair dryer the next time."

"Nice staff, though they weren't always at the front desk when I went there for something. Great views, nice rooms and amazing outdoor hot tub. The breakfast was lacking protein items, just had baked goods and waffles, cold cereal as well. I would recommend overall."
