"When I moved out, they charged me 400 dollars for painting and cleaning and changing carpet. Everything was clean in my room and I'm doubting if they're really going to do that, coz I asked them to send me invoice but they haven't yet, not even replying my email. They're scammers!!!"

"Great price for location and amenities. What really makes the building is Sandy, who is an exceptional building manager. She and her teammates took over from a third party property manager called Common and the difference was immediate. Advice to people looking to move-in: try to get a place deeper in the building to avoid street noise and FedEx Trucks."

"In terms of quality of life in LA for the price, you cannot beat the bespoke rooftop views and lax hot tub nights you’ll experience as a C1 resident. Being only a few clicks from the beach and a stones throw away from groceries & shopping, you simply cannot ask for more convenience. I absolutely enjoyed every second of breathing in the ocean breeze and experiencing the true beachside life, thanks to C1. So if you really want top-notch LA living for an affordable price, C1 is for you!"

"Updated Review Jan 2023 Luckily CLG took back managing this property and Sandi is an incredible building manager for CLG. She is so on top of everything, ensuring packages are labeled and put away, being very prompt to respond to any needs, and contacting maintenance immediately for repairs. They have developed a better system for reporting maintenance needs through the portal and they also go above and beyond to provide necessary replacements for unit items. I appreciate the positive improvements made and love many things about this building including the amazing rooftop view, the location (walking distance to everything) and friendly neighborhood. Dec 2021 Review Loved this building when I first moved in and it was under Starcity ownership! Unfortunately, After the acquisition by Common everything has gone completely downhill. No security, broken hot tub for months, tenants being charged incorrectly for rent and not receiving refunds, garbage overflowing in the common areas, dog runs out of poop bags, packages being stolen, no follow ups or responses to maintenance issues, cleaning service not leaving supplies and not even wiping down the counters upon visits. I hope this changes or I may look to get out of this agreement."

"I absolutely love this place. I moved to CA from TN beginning of July and was not in an ideal housing situation when I first moved here due to Covid. I luckily met someone who told me great things about C1 and as hesitant as I was moving in without having the option to physically tour the facility at the time, I have to say it was the best decision I ever made. Ashley, the on-boarding manager, has been extremely helpful and friendly since day 1 and has made herself available for any questions. She helped me get my paperwork expedited to move in when was most convenient for me and kindly helped me with my mail when I didn't understand how to receive packages among other things. The maintenance crew helped me setup a desk and white board in my bedroom and was super friendly and efficient. I live in one of the 3 bedroom shared spaces with a private suite and I recently had a house mate leave. They had a potential new candidate to move in who has a dog and they are extremely mindful when pairing housemates as to not disrupt anyone currently living in the space. I have pet allergies and unfortunately am not an ideal candidate for a housemate with a dog and they were very understanding. I've already met some awesome people who live here and everyone seems super friendly. I just extended my lease because it has been such a wonderful experience. While the amenities have been closed due to Covid, I am still enjoying living here and am looking forward to experiencing even more when things are back to normal. The only thing I would maybe change is how packages are received and luckily for me, they are actively working to update the system to have it be more efficient for everyone. Definitely recommend C1."
