Myrtle Oaks Apartments

"I had a great experience living here. The grounds are maintained. It is adjacent to a creek and I had a deck looking out on it. The units are soundproofed well. I threw a lot of dinner parties and always checked with the neighbors and they never heard a peep of us. It had attractive high beamed wood ceilings. The spacious 2 br/2.5 bath unit was perfect for entertaining. The bedrooms and full bathrooms are upstairs so guests use the first floor powder room. The worst thing you could say about this place is that it's not in the best neighborhood, but all the other tenants never caused any problems. Having lived in a well run apartment like this in a marginal neighborhood and a poorly run apartment in a "nicer" neighborhood, I'd pick this one any day. The location is convenient to the freeway and across the street from American River College. Upon moving out the manager was fair about the deposit. I heard mixed stories from friends who lived here and moved out but she was reasonable with us. I loved living here, if the roommate situation we had worked out longer I'd have stayed more the 1.5 years we did. I look back fondly on my time here."
