"I love the location, and I must highlight that William, the maintenance technician, is great, I have nothing to complain about him or the cleaning lady, I know that they both do their best and are super friendly and helpful, but the negligence of the administration and management, and the persistent problems are very distressing. I've lived here for a year and a half, but I've had the shower blocked several times, despite having an adequate drain to prevent hair loss, termite infestation and now I haven't had hot water to take a shower for 5 days. This is insane! Even though I received an email stating that the problem had already been resolved. After sending another email to the office to pay attention to this, the response was to leave the water running and it would heat up eventually (???) Is this a solution? Even so, we tried and it's not working, the shower has been running for 20 minutes with only cold water! The manager always responds to me rudely, for example about the termite infestation that even after sending the exterminator my apartment had termites appearing everywhere and he told me to vacuum to solve the problem, as insects would still appear. for the next 15 days maybe! Hey? 15 days? I can't even sit on the couch in my apartment because termites fall on me. I must also say that in such a large building there are only 4 washing machines and dryers and there are always one or two machines out of order."

"Let me begin by saying, I wish I have the option to rate this loft a zero. I had a terrible experience living at this place. Management (especially that Ram guy) will never respond to your emails - looks calm, but very arrogant and unprofessional! Secondly, they’ll never tell you this from the onset, but ensure to take detail pictures of your unit prior to move out (should you later decide to take them on) because, those guys will come out with every scanty excuse not to refund your security deposit. I vacated my unit spotless. Never drilled even the tiniest nail in the wall yet, they made up their shadiest excuse to refund me only 12% of my security deposit. Finally, watch out for the garage parking - your car is never safe out there. For a modern unit of its kind, you’d expect them to have cameras all over should anything happen, but nope! I witnessed the aftermath of random cars vandalized (windows smashed - so weird!) a couple of times and those managers will never do anything about it - they simply don’t care! All they care about is your money and that’s it! I personally had my car trashed - reported to that Ron guy (manager) and never got a feedback (so rude!). I can go on and on, but to save yourself the headache, let me just give you this last advice to save yourself the headache of moving into this loft. Their laundry facility is operated by a third party (vendor). Their machines are either never working or will take your money every time you try loading units on your card (very frustrating!!!). Oh! and when that happens, good luck relying on management to do anything about it. There are better places to consider renting than to lock yourself in a perpetual frustrating lease with these folks. Considering the amount of money they’re charging for those units, you’re better off elsewhere; somewhere with at least respectful, dedicated and transparent management. Save yourself the headache, money and peace of mind from dealing with those mischievous guys. I wish someone had told me all these prior to renting from Samo lofts - I never would’ve taken myself through this mess."

"I have lived at this property for over (2) years and it is amazing and whenever I place a Service Call it is fixed within a 1/2 hour of my call. Ramil and Esther are wonderful Property Managers and William who is our Maintenance Technician knows how to fix anything! When I get locked out they help me access my apartment immediately!! It is a lovely community of friendly and cordial residents who help each other in need. I would recommend this property as it is close to the Santa Monica Pier, Metro System and fantastic restaurants!"

"It's been almost a year since I moved here. One of the best studio lofts one could ask for in Santa Monica. Consider moving here? I highly recommend talking to Esther. She is such a sweet, loving lady. Such a great help and pleasure to talk to every time. Management should give an annual award for 'The best employee of the year' to Esther. I have no complaints for this place except for the parking price and a raise to the rent. But, definitely will move back here once my budget allows."
