Ocean Park Hotel

"I stayed a week in Santa Monica and was very happy to have met the good people who run Ocean Park Hotel. The place was clean, safe and affordable. The design and decor are cheery, and I enjoyed the neighbourhood. Everything you need - with free parking and good wifi."

"You get what you pay for. It's essentially a hostel without any common areas. The rooms are very small. We did find a bug in our room. Ultimately we decided to just leave and stay at HI... We did get a refund for the nights we didn't stay but couldn't get a refund for our first 'night' aka 15 minutes we were there because I had put my bag down on the bed. Oh well. It does seem like a safe neighborhood and the hotel itself is secure and best of all has free parking. It is about an hour+ walk from the beach so it's best to have a car if you do stay here. If you're on a budget it's probably a safe bet."

"In a lovely residential area, with decent public transport links to either Santa Monica or downtown LA. Quite a young demographic (we're both 60). No noise from inside of the hotel, but main road is quite noisy (ear plugs are provided). Some great restaurants just around the corner. Shared bathrooms are fine unless you're super fussy. Would definitely recommend/revisit."

"Great place to spent a few nights. Shared bathroom but very clean, is cleaned multiple times a day. One bathroom on each floor. Rooms are small but have a sink and window and fan to cool you down. Soap and towels provided. Bed comfy, we stayed three nights. Big blue Bus stop around the corner (about 10 minutes) to Santa Monica."

"Very clean rooms, although small. Fits two open suitcases on the floor but then there is little room to move around. A fridge is included in the room although it is quite noisy. Preferably get a room that doesn’t face toward the street. The shared bathrooms seem to be recently renovated and are very clean and also provide shampoo and wash lotion. Staff is friendly. The Busstop is right by the hotel which is a plus."
